Always thought he was very tidy and unflashy - just the type of pilot that Venetia has always liked.

I agree. We met him several times at our racing club, and always followed his rides. A very nice, unassuming sort of guy. I'm so glad that, as a journeyman jockey he won 'the big one'. Really deserved it!Originally Posted by Grasshopper

Had a huge win on him in the Derby as someone I worked with at the time knew 'someone' in PCHs, and had a large ( for me ) anti post bet on him. At least he had a decent innings.
I remember I had Dr D clear top rated in his Derby.
Did I back it?
