And Webberys Dream in the next race, both sickening incidents. Also Devils Paintbrush yesterday at Newbury.

There were four in the end yesterday I think, but I don't know who.

    From face book

RIP Peter Quince 24yrs old. Winner of 3 races & 2nd in a Listed race. Trained by the late Sir Henry Cecil. Quincy has spent the last 14yrs as our resident stallion. He is now sleeping in his paddock. You will be missed so much.

Benefficient has been retired apparently after the injury he picked up at Cheltenham. What a shame.

A real good horse. A shame. Nice lads owned him too.

Good story that horse. Won at huge prices
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

I was confident he would beat Dynaste after the third last but clearly went wrong very quickly - cracking horse much underrated .

A pity about Mars, he had looked so promising as 2yo.

yeah sad for mars. was pretty horrible viewing watching him run out.

gentildonna's win with cirrus in 2nd reminded me of the horse that was there with both of them at the finish line in the last 2 years. the late, great, st nicholas abbey. sleep well old boy.

Fiorente formerly with Sir Michael Stoute and winner of last years Melbourne Cup when trained by Gai Waterhouse retired due to small tendon tear - will be found a place at stud.

Fiorente's last run was disappointing after the Melbourne Cup and a 10f Group 1. That may have been the reason. Don't think they have much Monsun blood in Australia but he offers up 2 more crosses of Danzig in his 4th generation to go with all those Danehill mares out there!
