Not an equine departure, but Corky Browne has retired after 41 years working with Nicky Henderson.

A top man who has been in the Seven Barrows engine room overseeing some of the best horses we'e seen in the last four decades.

Here's hoping Corky has a long and happy retirement.

Not many marriages last that long. He must have some tales to tell!

At least 18 months before they try and get him back into proper training. Lovely, lovely horse. Didn't know what carrots and polos were until the last few weeks of being in the box next to mine

    Had missed this

Shame as it's not a big owner either.
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Lady Kaya runner up to Hermosa in the Guineas broke a leg this morning and couldn’t be saved. Gutted for connections.

King Of Sparta aged 26, after apparently a fab retirement, quite rightly.

A terrible thing to happen, especially to a small stable

I know, it's just awful for connections - I remember they were so excited and proud on Guineas day when they were interviewed.
