Anna Farrow in the Brocklesby. Month off her actual 2 year old birthday - this is a hard sport to defend sometimes

Never really got the love some on here felt for Un Temps Pour Tout, but no doubting he was a grand sort. Takes a good animal to win the Ultima twice, and he was occassionally a class-act over hurdles too. Had his quirks (an endearing quality, imo), and a real shame we won’t be seeing him race again.

Shame too about Moon Racer. Another with no injury luck.

Of the big trainers of yonder, who is the bigger disappointment

    David Pipe or Donald McCain
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

McCain by a distance. A lot less to live up to but has a lot of expensive purchases each year and does nothing with them.

Bunk Off Early was working well and on track for a big handicap at one of the festivals but has had another setback and has been retired from racing. I'm assured that he will be found a good home.
The older I get the better I was.

Faugheen with a fibrilating heart, is what a beast he was. Retirement surely imminent.

Really hope he’s retired after today. Owes nobody anything and deserves to go out in one piece and enjoy the rest of his life.

Grim viewing with Forest des Aigles today. Looked to break down before the fence but was so close the poor bugger jumped it regardless.
