We'll never really know how good Douvan is, real shame.

I think we found out he good he was when UDS ran him into the ground - good but not as good as hyped.

They gave UDS a free lead that day, a dangerous thing to do.
Douvan was so tall and so narrow as a young horse that in hindsight it is some feat to keep him sound as long as they did.

I do wonder if UDS is incredibly underrated*. He's probably one of my favourite horses in training at the moment [along with DingDing of course....]. * perhaps under appreciated is a better description...

Sorry mate but that is complete and utter tosh. When he was right he was a monster who covered the last 4 fences in his Arkle about 6 lengths faster than Sprinter Sacre and on slower ground.

He was injured and has never been the same simple as
    Formely Fist of Fury

Did this horse run in a few Grand Nationals? Sure it did. I remember backing as a nipper due to my favourite Preston footballer being Graham Alexander.

Had that race been run at the pace of the QMCC you would have a point . It wasn’t - he cracked when it was served up to him by Grade 1 chasers.
