An old favourite but Sizing Europe would of won his champion hurdle by 16l and made me considerably richer

Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Valiramix was just coming of age, and rated 167 (basically on a par with MTOY’s peak) when he was cruelly denied the Champion Hurdle crown and his life sadly cut short.

Alcohol, because no good story ever started with "I was eating this salad..."

A true legend. Probably not as good as NTD would have you believe but an admirable warrior nonetheless

    Agree fully Viking.
Any horse that can notch up 20 victories and run against the best around for as long as he did is a Legend.
Pity he was unlucky a few times at the top table, but a happy retirement to him.

The 84 year old trainer outlived him. Fine example of a horse who overachieved alright

After 2 disappointing runs Tom George thought to send Summerville Boy up to Newmarket for a scan and has found he has a hairline fracture to his femur. Sounds like he will be out for a while but credit to the trainer for knowing something wasn't right as he hadn't been lame.
