Here s hoping for that problem and Im sure Mick wont mind having that either.
This is is toughest test yet giving weight to Third intention, Rebel is the best novice jumper Ive seen for sometime fitness may give him the edge.
He will get a good break after this

He is electric over fences. I was against him on the travelling but not so confident now. Even if I backed against him I'd not mind seeing him hack up.

Having told the owner he should run her in the race I would like to take a little of the credit, even if i was pushing an open door.
PMU place paid 4.80 so delighted .
That 20:80 is not so bad an idea at all !

Mixed day for Michael at Cork today.
Gets fined 6000 Euro for Churchtown Glen finishing seventh, the jockey getting a 21 Day ban and the horse 42 days.
Then Granny Biddy wins her third straight Cork race in three consecutive meetings there ( a first since Cork reopened in 1997 , maybe in my lifetime) off 124, having won off 87 at Tramore in August and Listowel also.
A 30,000 Euro purchase, Granny Biddy is out of a sister to Son of Flicka .

    Michael intends appealing the fine.

Congratulations to Mick, some achievement running up the sequence with the mare.

A fine day all round for local trainers in Mallow with Terence O'Brien's Articulum defying a long absence & Jimmy Mangan landing the handicap hurdle with Conna Cross.

Finally Wilcosdiana relished the testing ground in the hunter chase for in form Lombardstown handler Eugene O'Sullivan with daughter Maxine on board. She looks a mare to follow.

Churchtown Glen is his most likely winner today, according to local word.

I definitely think so. I was put off having a proper cut at her yesterday, however, because of the turnaround of only nine days since her bumper win. Needless to say, I needn't have worried; perhaps the fact she's already a 7yo allowed her to handle it better than a younger horse.

She is some mare to travel and jump. Hopefully gets the yard back in the spotlight.

As a side note how strong was the bumper she finished third in on her racecourse debut? So many subsequent winners. Carrigeen Lotus a smart mare too.

Great to see some smaller operators managing to hold their own, largely thanks to an improved mares programme.

    Well done, again, Mick.

Too much to ask for Rte to reference it on the Six-one.

John McConnell will be happy though
