Interesting story I read today in the RP. Apparently they had to do a paternity test to show that Network was his sire, as his dam had been sleeping around a bit that crazy spring of 2005.

Prominent King used to be owned by a Mallow man Tony O Keeffe, an auctioneer who hunted and rode p2ps for my uncle.
Winner of 75 Irish Cesarewitch at 3 he was a top juvenile hurdler defeating Bannow Rambler in Scalp hurdle as a 4yo. He won Erin Foods Hurdle in 78 (now Irish Champion H)
Anyways got transferred to Peter Easterby where he was a top novice chaser (3rd Sun Alliance Ch) before defeating Venture To Cognac in good 3 mile Hurdle at Ascot April meet. He used pull up lame after his races and be lame for a few days after his races but always recovered.
Alas owner could not afford training bills so horse was left to Easterbys and Tim hunter chased him into his teens and he kept winning. he was 11 in 83.
    Thanks for the memories DG.
