And that small head knew that Impaire Et Passe would win the Champion Hurdle."
I always thank the bus drivers if I’m on a bus - and anyone who holds doors etc. ( I’m another door holder!)
Mind you, I’ve been known to thank my trolley when I put it back in the thing....

Watching the last hour of coverage yesterday with friends who never watch racing and basically have no interest in except for my horses; one commented 'why do they spend so much time showing those people talking?' Yes exactly I said. Saw the Morning Show also for the first time in months and I appreciate they were reviewing the years' events, but basically what a waste of time.
Cheltenham was a topic of conversation with the dentist yesterday.
Mrs O had been in just before and somehow or other their conversation had got round to the meeting. She must have told him she had to drag me away from the TV for the appointment.
Anyway, he is only a casual racing fan. He asked me what I thought of ITV's coverage. I told him and him for his opinion, as a casual fan.
He thought it was patronising and too disjointed. Not enough racing and not enough of the nitty-gritty or in-depth analysis before or after a race.
"Too geared towards non-racing people" was his conclusion.

Caught the ITV racing coverage of the Gold Cup as I read there was an interesting piece with Hen Knight and Brough. I have not got to that yet but :
1 Chapman and Gleeson - an even less funny version of the Chuckle Brothers
2 Cumani - she evidently knows bugger all about NH and has little interest in it
3 Oli Bell and his social stable - give me strength
4 Luke Harvey - why ?
5 Good - Ed Chamberlin,AP and Brough
6 No worse than usual Plunkett and Fitzgerald.
Alice Plunkett is my idea of hell on earth.
Maybe a nice woman but she offers nothing bar the pines of a middle aged woman not letting go.
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

I miss Cumani when she's not on. ITV definitely missing the female touch! Too many boring old geezers on today. Depressing.

I was just thinking how nice it was without her! Her voice just grates for me and she has to plug Australia whenever possible. If it's so much better she can feck off back there! thanks

Fair enough!
Personally, when I'm watching racing I want the debate/talk to be relaxed, natural, possibly even partially dense!!!! This 'takes the edge' of my own anxiety/excitement for races to start.
Which is why I've always had more time for people like Ed Chamberlain, Hayley Turner, Cumani, Willie Carson, John Francome, even Big Mac, than the more, 'serious types'.
I realise this probably makes no sense at all!

Cumani is nice to look at but very annoying when she opens her mouth.
I miss John Francome.
So what do we make of the report that ITV Racing are in negotiations with the agents of Stormy Daniels to have her front the coverage of the Derby meeting?
