I got round this evening to catching up on the recording of ITV's coverage yesterday.
As far as the racing is concerned it's still total shite.
McCoy is hopeless as a pundit, lazy and thoughtless. Blake is insightful.
What they do well is their effort to make the sport appeal to a wider audience which, for me, is a battle they're never going to win. People nowadays are too fickle to keep their attention for any longer than that of a gnat.
The only other thing they do that I like is - and I know plenty on here disagree - is the immediate post-race interview with a jockey. I thought Coleman was brilliant in the immediate aftermath of Paisley Park's win, basically admitting he was seriously worried he'd come too soon. I reckon he'll give Penhill plenty to think about in March.
