    Cheltenham Place Value

Anyone spotted any good place only bets at the Festival.

    Arkle>Cue Card 2.14

    CH> Binocular 2.04

    QMCC>Finians Rainbow 2.04

    Ryanair> Somersby 2.66

    Oscar Whisky>2.04

    Gold Cup >Kauto Star 1.95

I'd be amazed if backing all of those wouldn't show a good level stake profit.

I think Kauto is a chronic bet at odds after the events of the last 2 weeks.

Binocular is combustible, TS confirmed for the world hurdle, i'd give him a better chance of getting nearer BB than OW
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Quoting a "tweet" sent 2 hours ago by a very respected professional racing commentator: "At #ChelfFest preview I was at in Ireland, Shark Hanlon reported that his 'mole' in Mullins camp said Thousand Stars had gone sour! He suggested horse may not turn up for either race"

And a follow-up from 90 minutes back: "If you're backing Thousand Stars for World Hurdle, make sure you do it NR NB, wouldn't be surprised if he went straight to Aintree"

    Indeed, Granger !
Tweet, btw, was from Bill Esdaile -- racing trader, editor of CityAM Punter, and ex-marketing manager of Sporting Index -- a guy not normally given to rumour mongering.

But it came from a Cheltenham preview from the Shark. I wouldn't believe the radio in Shark's house.

Very true, Slim, .............. and more so is the consideration that Hanlon was quoting an unnamed "mole" -- conveniently distancing the Shark if TS turns up and beats everything into submission.

However, I just put it up as a cautionary report to anyone who might be thinking of going in strong on TS. I iz just a messenger ( who doesn't want to get shot )

Listening to the WH Preview as has beeen pionted out he's unlikely to run plus almost to man they think Oscar is the toughest opponent he's ever faces. The chances are on the day you'll only get 2 places but backing him now you get 3 places. I reckon if he settles he's a stonewaller to be placed at least.

Prospect Wells in the Supreme 6.6 to place- could be huge if the famous "breathing op" does the job.

Mullins seemed to be saying in the Boylesports preview that Thousand stars main aim was Aintree, and didn't sound very positive.
