Martin - what are your thoughts on the favourite Quantativeeasing or even Josies Orders? Enda has a fantastic record in this race winning 11 of the last 16 races. So you have to respect that record, plus there's some Trainer called Willie and added to the mix are the Ryanair crew.

Uncle Junior looks like a solid ew bet, meets many trends and of course Willie has his horses in form.

    What are your thoughts Martin?

Patrick gets up by a neck to beat Quantativeeasing.

Sorry guys saw this - top call Toffee!!

Stratford Stroller on recent form is the best horse in the 20:05 Bangor - sadly though he has the worst jockey so I wouldn't be going mental.

Cooladerry King is trained by a genius but even a jockey change to Will Biddick is unlikely to provide him with the extra stamina needed for three miles (sole victory is 2m4f and he weakens after 2m5fish when tackling further). Would avoid this one like the plague unless he gets to circa 20/1 or so.

Agree Benny but knew she'd be of limited assistance.

The big one for the Northern and Yorkshire lads up at Hexham today.

Think Sea Scout is overpriced - won an Open last time out and not beaten far by Buccleuch Cup winner Wayupinthesky who's unexposed in Northern P2P's and has won again since. 25/1 looks a fair price about him with a competent pilot up too.

Big field here and Darsi Dancer is tiny - really can't see this suiting so will be place laying him too.

    Excellent call, as usual !
Wasn't that a woeful performance -- stopped racing after the very first fence.

    Thanks IB.

The value disappeared very quickly regarding The Wealerdealer last night and the market looks about right now.

Wouldn't put folk off backing What About Will @ 40/1 or bigger, that run behind Blinding Lights and Second Chance wasn't a bad effort and he was eased after the last once his chance had gone. I can see him going well and he's rated higher than a few of those shorter in the market (Way Before Dawn the most notable example). Whether he's good enough to reverse form with the front two is debatable but he should go well.

Nothing major in today's race Benny - thought that Batu Feringhi was overpriced but hard to be too confident.

Was wondering about iron chancellor as a bit of value against the fav, but he's quite short himself.

Think both are a bit on the short side.

I'll be at Garthorpe near Melton Mowbray on Sunday - possibly a last P2P visit for the season though hoping to get out to Ireland more in the Autumn :-)

Two horses who struggle for stamina today:

18:20 Southwell - Cold Knight @ 10/1. Good horse coming from a top top yard in Tom Weston's, he's struggled a bit with his stamina this term with easily his most impressive performance coming in a Restricted at Cottenham (about 2m6f) in December. The runner-up that day Full Trottle has looked a nice horse thus far this season and has won since but CK beat him easily. Since then sadly he's been weakening late on but he should be able to make his mark in this 2m4f Hunter Chase.

17:15 Sedgefield - Burtredgipandgump @ 9/2. He had the now 132 rated Desilvano back in second when winning his maiden at 50/1 last year under today's jockey Jack Teal (looks very decent pilot). He's struggled with stamina since then and also with his jumping (the two are possibly linked here) but drops back in trip to 2m here and will have no issues regarding jumping given it's a bumper. He's entered in the sales next week and he should go well.

Basically the oldest horse in the race Broughton Green is also the best. He's a novice over fences and has had his injury problems but would probably have won last time out but for unseating late on. He has a top jockey, who's also one of the oldest in this on board and should go well at 10/1. Of the remainder John Daniell has plenty of ability but as at this meeting last year is likely to get a dubious ride from Amanda Bush while Behind The Scenes has somebody who's nearing retirement age up, horse has been unlucky as has been given some iffy tactical rides thus far this season but has been running well at least. Of the others Shannon Smacker needs it like a bog, Boy Of Boru has yet to win his maiden and a few of the others, most notably Alpha Native and Printing Blue have dodgy jockeys up.

If anyone is after a back-to-lay then Time Is Tickin is a bold front runner and Oz Wedmore does well on these types while A Country Mile is far too short.

    17:40
There's only a couple here who've managed to do the business outside of Maiden company in what is usually the worst race of the evening quality wise. Remarkable Man's opening 6/1 was far too big and even with doubts about the drop in trip he should be sub-2/1. The biggest danger would be Out Of Range who's taken a Restricted win and is big at 16/1 while Haughtons Bridge and Spiritofchartwell are both types who could improve further.

    18:15
Front three should really have it between them though if anything does happen to them Terra Bleu could be the one to be on at 33/1. Looks a race to play without the first two in the market though (or better still one to sit out).

    18:45
Charles Bruce was just touched off prior to being DQ'd at Sedgefield and seems to love a good stamina test. This is a highly competitive race and he won't have Charlie Deutsch up here but the yard have won HC's in the past and 3m4f on good ground should suit him. He's a big price at 25/1. Orfeo Conti is another who could go well though his stamina is taken on trust.

    19:15
I'm siding with Caulkin here, he refused to race on Saturday which is a big concern but generally runs his race for the Kemp's in these short Hunter Chases. He should go well here at around 14/1 and while Captain Crackers was disappointing when well beaten behind a horse who's only previous success was in maiden company at Parham he will have improved a heap for the run and should go well with a decent young jockey up.

    19:50
Another competitive race - I've always had a huge soft spot for David Phelan's mare Running In Heel so will be hoping she runs well. Likely to need her to be around the 10/1 mark though to be a bet each-way in this competitive contest. She was runner-up to Carnglave Cat last time out and has won twice already this season, any drying in the ground would suit though stamina has to be taken on trust.

    20:20
The Session Or Ression of two or three years ago would pick these up and carry them though not sure how well he'll go here and at 5/1 he's probably skinny enough in the market. It looks competitive and probably another race to swerve.

    Tipperary
Will be a surprise if Monbeg Rose is beaten in the Mares Bumper, looked a tool first time out and since joined Willie Mullins. Jodies Miss has more experience than most in this and can chase her home.

Plenty of chat about Knocknanuss following his maiden win for Mick Winters - subsequently sold at auction though it wasn't finalised (probably vetting issues), can see him going off at 4/7 or 8/15 in this. Alkaa Lion looks the best of the remainder.

Same here Benny - should be up to a 139 run, doubt any of the others are capable of running to 120 so would be the fav all the way for me.
