Royal brave won this race last season off 77,last five runs at the track has been 1/1/3/1/2 form improved through the season last run over c/d last season the 2nd was in a 0-85 and went to York to finish 6th in a big foeld in a 0-95 so even though 7yr old last season showed its most improvement.Horse won third race back last season and has had two runs this season one at newcasle over 6fs and then ran in conditions race on heavy ground had no chance as needs good/gdfm ground, has top weight tomorrow there are nukerous runners you could pick but royal brave could easily run wel dropping back down in class on favourite trac especially if grounds quick.Danny tudhope rides never won on it but has placed on it a few times, there is a possibility that this could go off nearer to 5-6/1 if ground is as forecast,as some of the runners might prefer slower ground all deends how accurate going reports are.
Tanasoq is one of the horses that will like fast ground, had some form in 0-85 previous couple of seasons now with paul midgeley and came back to form on slower ground on only, that was only a 0-75 but ground was slower than given on result, lexington place is a bit of a rogue impossible to predict but on good mark and ruth carrs horses running well..
Excellent stuff mate............mind you the starter must be blind..he let them go when Royal Brave was rearing

Wouldv'e taken 6-7/1 for small interest anyway in that race, was getting annoying as had loads of winners marked of last couple of days hateya for example last week unlucky loser was huge eyecatcher at lingfield previous run, thankfully this won ir would've been fuming..

People are curious look because the thread comes back up and is highlighted after the race. Doesn't mean to say they backed the horse

Common sense should tell you that duh!!!!

Nice pick but I didn't back it as when I looked 5 mins after posting it was a fraction of those odds (5/1). In retrospect I should have still backed it !

Prices were there longer than that as I know from pms some were getting on at 10/1,even the 16/1 ppower and sportsbook prices were there for longer than 15 mins abd 8/1 was there probably an hour after I posted, was checking constantly it takes half an hour at least for all the differtent books to put their prices up and I put up about 7/8 firms..

Means nothing Giggs and punters talk shyte half the time about prices they got and how much they had on

I few moons ago I was very close to a jockey and the big boys knew it from my record. I tried to get a couple on at 6/1 with Co**** which they refused to take and they cut the horse to 6/4 there and then

Within minutes H**** and Lad****** had cut him to similar odds without taking a coin.

Unfortunately outside of the exchanges displaying a price and laying a price is 2 different things.

The minute you put your bet on if it's 3 figs or up the entire network knows because you may not be a "Face" (someone with inside info) but you have an uncanny rep for picking winners

I don't speak to anyone who is exaggerating or lying, that's why I only speak to a handful of people I get lots of pms that I know have hidden agendas on here I never reply to them to most they would seem innocent I can tell what someones upto just by the way they post or word things, where others would just see them as making conversation I know there are ulterior motyives..So I know who to believe and trust,if I think anyone is playing games which some on here join up to do I iimmediately disregard them...far too shrewd to ve fooled by idiots on the net..especially as regards betting..

I sometimes look in just to see how gigs is doing or what he's had nice. Its rare that I'd come on here and back one of gigs selections I think on the one or two occasions I have I've commented as such before they've run. They both lost. Normally I won't back gigs horses as many a time the prices as some have said don't last long and 99% of the time if the price has been smashed as with the likes of Hugh Taylor's selections then there is little point following them for long term success although that said if you've been on board with multiples when he's had his clean sweeps a few times then obviously you'll have had a nice Christmas/holiday out of it.

A fair few years ago now I came across a couple of guys online who were fantastic tipsters, actually that's probably the wrong word as I don't think they considered themselves as that, but they were great judges of horse races sharing their thoughts. One of the guys also came across a fair bit of inside info and even put bets on for a couple of jockeys. I always thought his own selections were better than anything he got from the info but that's not really the point. The point is as someone who'd never had a clue really and who was a relentless loser I thought these guys were magic and would try and catch their selections when I could. Don't get me wrong I hit a few winners but I found I couldn't be hovering around a forum all day waiting for them to put up there selections I also had no idea about staking really and controlling the amounts I was putting on to withstand losing runs. So sods law would dictate that I missed some of their winners, seemed to back every loser they put up, plus my own losers. If they had a run of losers which even the best punters do (even Giggsy) then inevitably I'd run out of dough at some point because I punted like a mug. Of course then when I was on my knees they'd have a good run which was sickening or they'd blast in a 50/1 winner and I wouldn't be on board.

It was a very frustrating process. I was surrounded by some of the best punters online who were winning yet I was still a loser. This is I think why Giggsy would probably come in for a bit of stick sometimes perhaps its frustrated idiots who will lose regardless ! They may of backed his losers and maybe missed his winners. Or perhaps they are just general trolls of which I've never understood the mentality of those sorts. What I do understand though and its something you're average troll may want to consider is that your subconscious mind is a powerful thing. Your subconscious mind will control a lot of what you do without you realising it and believe it or not if you train your brain to hate the successful then your subconscious mind will never let you become that which you hate. Or in other words you teach your brain to hate the successful and your subconscious will never allow you to become successful. Some people might think that is a load of clap trap but I promise you one way or another it is a complete truth.

As for me I learned after a while that trying to follow people religiously wasn't working. The couple of guys that I was following drifted away from the forum and it was probably the best thing that ever happened to me. I started doing more on the forum myself. As I started doing more and more write ups I was getting half way through some days and realising that I was backing something merely because I'd backed it before or for some other obscure reason that didn't make sense. It took me trying to explain to others why I was betting something for me to realise that I shouldn't have been betting it myself. Likewise when I started having to reason my bets out to others so that they did make more sense and I did have to try and make a solid case for something that all of a sudden I started doing alright for myself. So what I'm trying to say I suppose is that I don't bother following other peoples tips too much because I now have enough faith in myself that I'll do alright with my own. Occasionally If someone makes a good case for something i'll look into it myself and if I agree with the thoughts then I don't mind firing a bullet and I'm grateful that they have brought it to my attention as with so much going on with the racing its difficult to have eyes everywhere.

So I'll take a look in at Giggsy's thread every now and then because I like to read his reasoning and tbh I just love to see someone else giving the bookies a good hiding and doing well. I also look to have a wry smile at the trolls because I know they are desperate, broken men/ladies who are generally beating themselves in life and aren't very happy people.

Will I say well done to Giggsy every time I pop in or congratulate him on every winner? No I don't (I'd probably run out of cyber ink) but I've said before Giggs is a top guy for doing his write ups for people and posting plenty of winners and I know he doesn't really require thanking all the time and me to tell him he's brilliant because he's generally just a successful dude. I do feel for him in the health department as he's said he's not a well man and if anything I'd hope whatever problems he has health wise ease off as much as possible or even get miraculously cured as until your properly ill or suffer badly with your health you probably will never realise that that is the be all and end all in life.

All the best Gigs and keep serving it up to 'em.

Think you are mainly in the right there danny, although the write ups should be a guide to other things like I give predicted sps which a lot of the time are half original books prices so there's still angles trading or free bets even if you miss prices night before and i'm probably right 90% of the time think you have to try and use them as much as possible. Also I may mention two or three others in race and sometimes it will be written as I fancy one not with price up as stronger pick, that's purely becayse of opening prices and quite a lot of the time you will find the original pick creates value on the others mentioned..The more you know about form the more useful the thread should be,if you know absolutely zilch then you'd be better off just sticking to main pick and getting somewhere near the prices..would like to thionk by now that the thread is more useful just than the bet put up,but for future reference times mentioned about races etc,i don't put up to follows anymore I just think they get abused by others reading and other forums so keep them to myself..
Am struggling to get the work done I have to admit,i said last sesson would be the last with health problems my heart sinks when i see five meetings, you can't really be thorough but if I didn't do 90% of the races I would just stop doing anything, because the angle is remembering numerous races and that's the way to win big on multiples on certain days when everything comes together..It doesn't happen too often maybe 4/5 times a season but that's the only thing that keeps me going knowing a few times a year, that the books could be losing fortunes and its nice to see the smaller bettors having a chance of winning bug for small stakes..Am just waiting for one of those multiple days to come around, thanks for the reply danny..

Hospital appointments this week so won't be doing much, chester going uncertain as well might do something later in week if ground has dried there, couple of token picks same race very small bets for me as won't be around anyway..

    Wolves 6.25

    Astrae 7/1 365/skybet/victor/10bet 13/2 hills/sportsbook/ppower/betfred/totesport/ Pammi 33/1 365 28/1 skybet/corlas/betfred/totesport/victor/10bet/betway/unibet

Both easterbys send horses down to wolves, the tim easterby runner the knot is tied looks the most obvious only had four, runs seasonal debut staying on over a mile at ponte now steps up in trip and that was in a 0-70 and runs off just a mark of 54 in a 0-60 could be chucked in.Mick easterby sends Astrae has a bit to prove now after running in some better races last season, was 8th of 17 in 0-95 handicap over 6fs at York on good ground, made seasonal reappearance in april over the 7fs at wolves ran ok in a 0-75 the race has worked out quite well with every runner placing mainly in 0-75s one in a 0-80 and the horse that finished last winning a 0-75 on next run.
Astraes been given a nice drop of 7 pound from that run and claimer takes off another five, although last time out ran at catterick over 7fs a weak 0-60 could only finish 6th going off 4/1 fav,big drop in form from previous run so something to prove and over 1m 1 1/2fs but back at wolves.Out of cityscape a mile should be more to its liking and maybe the soft ground at catterick didn't suit, three other runs on soft ground were its worst as well,it maybe the horse is tripless and regressed but the run just over a month ago here over 7fs from a 0-75 into a 0-60 then worth a small bet to find out, betting will obviously be a pointer from mick easterby stable.
Pammi i'd be surprised if it could win this race rag of the field at 33/1 but there looks a little race in it,probably not one with so many unexposed runners, could run well and half way down the field, had shown nothing in seven runs till last run over c/d when 7th of 12 running on quite well. Those formlines tie in with pact of steel, strictly on formline would have a little to find with that one although not a great deal.Worth just a few coppers because as of yet most of these are stepping up In trip, the race pammi ran in was a 0-65 so this is a drop in grade although could easily be a better race, Anthony carson trainer has a surprisingly good strike rate of 13% so does well with what he's got..They are both a bit speculative pammi will more than likely find a few too good but at least big prices and the mick easterby horse is speculative as in if the trip is what it needs then its well handicapped off just 60..harrison shaw also takes off another five as well so twelve pound lower than that better class seasonal debut just a month ago.

Ominous drift on Astrae 11/1 365/lads/betbright/sportinbet/ 10/1 skybet/sunbets/corals/betfred/boyles/totesport/betway/10bet/victor if they think its good enough to run well over trip then this price is probably more realistic for a trier anyway...Alsp pammi strangely left blinkers off after best run last time out never noticed till this morning not a penny for it 40/1 victor/boyles/ppower/sportsbook
