Thanks Sam, I have my good moments! I'm looking to start a proper blog soon. A shame Orion's Bow got no luck in running.

OB wasn't really trying to win, I reckon. It was just prepping for something else, presumably bigger. The Dante meeting, maybe?

You're probably right there, DO. I don't the blame horse I just think he was either very unlucky not to get a clear run or the jockey is culpable. One of the two.

I watched it again. From stall 1 Allan allowed the eventual first and second to grab/snatch the lead after a furlong from stall 8 and 14 respectively. This was a race-losing move (or non move). I know Tim Easterby's often come on for the run, but my gosh with a different ride he wins that. Nothing personal I just think it was a poor ride.

    Brighton 7.40

    Pour la victoire 5/1 hills 4/1 365/skybet..

Veteran now pour la victoire a horse I would've avoided on turf normally as had been on downgrade, really has not done that much on turf recently off 64 as opposed to a mark of 76 on the aw,been rejuvenated last few runs on the aw recently 5th to eljaddaaf staying on and 2nd to the red in a 0-75 and 0-90.He hasn't won a race since may 2016 so obviously has a bit to prove, last season on turf beaten easily over c/d also has not shown much on fast ground either just think he's worth a small bet in such a weak race comparted to his aw form this a 0-65. Course form horses include spirit of sarwan 2nd in a 0-75 over 7fs here last season now just off 67,not showing much on the aw recently but this only a 0-65 on track it likes, maybe buzz lightyere as well some form just looks mediocre over c/d but did win twice at the track last season and placed three times, maybe doesn't want the ground too slow.Brightons been watered so don't know how reliable the goings will be,the usual guessing game so just a small bet again for me..

    Yarmouth 2.55

    Withouit parole 4/7 365 8/15 skybet 1/2 corals/betfred/totesport/10bet/lads

Without parole out of frankel made debut at Newcastle winning by 6ls from Trevithick a very fast time for a 6ls easy win,1m38.74 the 3rd and the 2nd have won races and they had previous experience needs to prove itself on turf but thought it worth putting up as might go off 1/4,haggas and sbs have runners in race so betting will be interesting. On the aw thios looks a 100 horse so interesting to see if that transfers to the turf..

    Brighton 5.55

    Live dangerously 16/1 365/totesport/betfred.

Quite a few in here on reasonable marks corporal Maddox c/d winner was 3rd off 70 over tomorrows c/d last season in a 0-75,few poor runs after that but then 2nd over c/d again behind lutine Charlie also in tomorrows race both could run ok as could ettie hart at the bottom of the weights..
Live dangerously at 8 another bit of a veteran like corpora; Maddox, some good form over c/d rated just 46 after runs down the field on the aw back to turf after finishing last sesson on 56,won off 52 last season over c/d in this grade also a 3rd off 59 over the mile at brighton as well in august in this grade. Was going off 5-6/1 in those races but off much lower marks now.May simply not be trying tomtrrow Kieran o'neil rides instead of William carson usually on the john bridger gambles he rides sea tea dea, worth paying to find out off a price that is treble what it was last season off far lower marks..Will probably one to keep following at future brighton meetings..

This time of year is a nightmare for betting, watering and even worse like tonight thought ground at Windsor would be soft/gdsft as forecast at best for hateya and after first race was obviously nearer to good hateya drifted after the ground became obvious was a lot quicker..need a miracle to get the accurate going reports right.

I had OB as the only serious danger to Atletico so I was trying to watch both. When it was clear early on that today wasn't going to be the day for Atletico I started watching OB. From some way out I was thinking it was just a question of when he pressed the button but he never really did. Whether that was deliberate or not I don't know but I didn't think it looked good.

A 0-65 handicap over a mle on softish ground,8/1 the field could well be better horses in the race than hateya its form is nothing special last season running over 7fs twice at Epsom on handicap debut was sixth of eleven in a 0-85 beaten 6ls off 70,was staying on at finish. On this seasons debut at lingfield was out the back outpaced a race run in a slow time, sixth of eight but looked nice tender run back passing runners at finish, drops into a 0-65 and five pound lower than the run at Epsom, still only six runs jim boyles not in great form hasn't had a winner for a couple of months so just a small bet.Was hoping it would be slightly bigger pruce with so many unexposed horses in the race but Kirby rides, probably one to look out for in this grade with maybe less exposed runners but might run ok..

    Ponte 3.10

    Rasheeq 25/1 ppower/sportsbook 22/1 skybet 22/1 betway 20/1 365/betfred/totesport/boyles/lads

Rasheeq I backed a couple of times last season ran some decent races was third twice in these 0-105 last season seems to act on most grounds, ran boundsy 9/1 to a nck also in tomorrows race and is better off at the weights, was also third at York in a 0-105 to flying pursuit off 2 pound higher mark.Last run of the season was behind boundsy and Atletico strictly on that form cannot beat them, obvioulsy has plenty of ability but looks hard ride, other negatives easterby runs orions bow david allan rides that's chucked in and duran fentiman rides rasheeeq he hardly has any winners, also hasn't run for 177 days and the one run at ponte was terrible plus only win a swell maiden ..Biggest price last season was 12/1,looks unlikely winner in such a competitive race but is double the biggest price it was last season includuing two places in this grade so could run well if fit and out on terms from the 3 draw.

Very small bets for me ..

Typicalyl 5th beaten hd for 4th was main reason for betting it really just looked a big price on the place ashame that, not one I would be following big prices today with 4 places..
Unlucky in two races 5th beaten a nck stopped in run and kirbys pushed wide at finish, very unlucky not to finish infront today if kirbys had finished 2nd would've got that race a very unlucky loser pushed wide when staying on and not to collect on both bets today 3.57 a plasce hateya better than the ew..

i liked el astronaute for that race today, nearly always flys out the stalls and guns it into the lead, just like today, looked at foolaad, didnt realize it was a class 2 winner
already, thats been on a hot streak for awhile now, very unlucky hateya tonight, was very keen, with kirby struggling to settle it, still a maiden, looks a winner in waiting.

    Epsom 3.55

    Pacify 20/1 lads...16/1 365/hills

A red hot looking race with 5/6 very lightly raced 4yr olds open to loads of improvement, pacify has already finished behind thundering blue when it won at York and even at revised weights shouldn't beat it,only ten runners but sicx of them could be anything.Pacify is a 6yr old more exposed and not great form last season as 2016, didn't race much and never got its ground, the one run here was on seasonal debut in 2016 in this race when second to dark red off 95 off 96 tomorrow was over 3ls back to a couple iof 100 runners. He's worth a token bet if he can still run to that level on track its run well on,could easily finish fifth or sixth and run well in such a competitive rtace but they are mainly first time out runners, worth a token bet..
