Another one for me is Deeds Not Words at Chelmes 7.15. The ride on this one given by Franny last time was as gentle as you like. So gentle, in fact, that the stewards asked him to explain. Given that, it's quite likely that he'll blow out today. Anyway, I'm on the lookout for him.
    Alas.....

I think so SP , unfortunately thought this might have been it after seeing him pulled out of 1 or 2 races where he was in with a good shout - is a far better hoss than that showing

Ridden to lose as soon as they left the gates.

Nedds around 12f and then it'll go in, I think.

    Yeah.

What? Making the running? I don't think so. They've got so many ways of losing.

Think that old General Tufto must have a decent EW chance in the last at Southwell today, currently 14/1.
Has only ever contested 2 class 7 races before but neither at Southwell, ran in a C5 lto carrying 11lbs O/W and unsurprisingly weakened after chasing leaders early on. Best when coming from behind as shown 3 runs ago when btn just 3 1/2 lengths by Sooquan who followed up from 4lbs higher. Had Tilly Devine 5 lengths behind that day and has already finished well ahead of Royal Holiday this season. Street Sensation looks a job horse in this but would expect General Tufto to be in the 1st 3.
A couple of R/Fs with Street Sensation and Urban Spirit as well.

In the 7.45W, Celestial Spheres looks a lttle short, considering Adam Kirby kinda nicked the race from the front latest. AK rides Soldier In Action today, and will probably ensure there's no repetition. At 5/1 (3 places) with B365 today, looks well worth an ew poke at the prices.

    Cheers, Benny.
Was 3 on Oddschecker when I posted, rhough 1/4 2 places at the prevalent 9/2 should serve nicely.

Put up old General Tufto on Sunday as an EW bet, unfortunately ran on too late to be 1/2 length down in 4th, the old fella makes a quick reappearance in the last today but this is over 7fs and has been too sharp for him in the past but could well run into a place late on.
There is another horse in this that interests me at a price and that is Adrian Wintles Secret Glance. He bought this out of a claimer at Catterick for 12,000gs nearly a year ago when rated 78 on the turf, has raced sparingly since but his 1st run for AW he ran 3rd here over 1m off 63 amonst plenty of Southwell regulars. He's never won on the AW but has dropped some 11lbs to todays 52 with a claimer taking another 5lbs off. Since that 3rd he's been held up in all his races never getting involved with no money for it.
In the past with Eddie McMahon he used to run from the front and won 2 races off 68 and 76 over 6fs, R Rowe got him to win at stiff Chepstow on G/S over 7fs off 75. Think he may be looking to recoup some of his investment as there appears to have been money for him today and prices range from 7/1-9/1 with the books but 10/1 available on the fair. Hopefully he'll be trying off this lowly mark.

How dissapointing was that, couldn't get the lead and got into a barging match but what a gamble! Possibly needs to go back on the Turf!

Thought I'd already put this up, but hey-ho.
Titan Goddess has been in the form of her life - until lto, where she ran too free, over too far.
Should have no problem with the drop back to 7f; and looks a solid ew poke at the general 12/1 (11/1 4 places - B365 enhanced).

Close, but no cigar - unless anyone took the 4 places. Beaten a nose for 3rd, too.

Super card at Wolves today, but not easy to find bets.
Disappointed to see Original Choice N/R in the Lincoln Trial - reckon connections will be too, as he probably needed the penalty to ensure a run in the big one. His participation now looks in the lap of the gods.
Second Thought will probably win the Wulfruna, though I wouldn't be rushing to take even money - particularly dropped back in trip.

My bet of the day has to be Kreb's Cycle in the lucky last. Finished really well in a strongly run 1m at Lingfield, and wouldn't have been helped by a stop/go pace at this track, subsequently. Today's extra furlong should be right up his alley. 4/1 currently.

Swift Approval (4.25) regularly pulls too hard for his own good, and was never going to last home when doing so over a strongly run 7f at a stiff Newcastle. The drop back to 6f might see him in a better light, and he's well worth an ew punt at Laddies 12/1.
