Gutted, Gevrey was running a massive race alongside the eventual winner, Scu hadn't started working at all, dived through one and unseated him.

5:00 Lingfield Estibdaad - Tongue tie on today, a Course & distance winner, who is 10 pound better off with Fast And Hot for his second at Kempton in October. Money for Estibdaad in the betting aswell.

Had £60 at 100/30 this morning. Just been out teaching my lad how to ride his bike - £480 a nice surprise in the PP account.

Well backed into 10's or 12's earlier.... now out to 25/1. The market has made a right mug of me..

Saturday finished in a small profit when Gayebury ran out a comfortable winner at Chepstow.

    Today's Selections:

    2.55 - Wolverhampton - Miracle Garden. 3 pts win. Available at 3/1.
We supported Miracle Garden when he finished behind some of these last Thursday (23rd). He was beaten just over four lengths into eighth of the eleven runners but ran better than the bare result suggests. Hampered leaving the stalls he continually found his path blocked when trying to make his move in the straight before finishing with running to spare. He had plenty of C/D form in the early months of last year and his current mark of 74 looks one he can exploit. The only small concern is the apparent lack of pace in the race; a tactical affair wouldn't be any good to a horse who is normally held up off the gallop.

    3.05 - Plumpton - Kayflin. 1 pt win. Available at 10/1.
Kayflin is of limited ability and it took her 21 starts to shed her maiden status on her penultimate start. That came over this C/D but she couldn't repeat it from a nine pound higher mark at Leicester last time out. She is not one to rely on but if there are a set of conditions to bring out the best in her then it's soft/heavy ground on this track, In five previous races she has returned form figures of 4/7, 2/8, PU, 2/6, 1/12. She is not well handicapped but conditions like these are a great leveler and the opposition are not up to much. She's no good thing but at a double figure price in a seven runner field she looks worth a small win consideration.

    3.35 - Plumpton - Rathealy. 0.5 pts e/w. Available at 28/1.
Rathealy doesn't seem up to much nowadays and he was thrashed on his debut for new connections last time out at Doncaster. However his record on heavy ground reads 121 with one his victories coming over two miles here back in Feb. 2015. His last two wins have come in Sellers, and it's been a long time since he performed well in handicap company, but he could lead here and that could bring about a better performance than his odds might suggest. He could handle the conditions better than some of his opposition and looks worth a small e/w wager.

    3.45 - Ayr - Nakadam. 2 pts win. Available at 9/2.

    3.55 - Wolverhampton:
Russian Soul. 1.5 pts win. Available at 15/2.
    Upavon. 1 pt e/w. Available at 12/1.

    2.10 - Leicester:
    D'Nailor. 1 pt win. Available at 8/1.
Heavenly Promise. 1 pt e/w. Available at 16/1.
Irish Point winner, Rude And Crude, makes his debut over fences under rules and, judging on some of his hurdles form, he could be leniently treated. He goes straight into handicaps for a new yard who are not only in form but do well with their Chasers. Ardmayle is another Irish Point winner making his debut over fences under rules. He ran well in two starts over hurdles and looks fairly treated judged on those efforts. In common with Rude And Crude he is likely to improve for going over fences and is respected. Point winner, Brice Canyon, has run well on all three starts over fences under rules and that experience may hold him in good stead against the shorter priced market principals. D'Nailor was pulled up on his second start over fences but was found to have bled post race and can be excused that effort. He is of interest on his second place on his Chasing debut at Lingfield prior to that and he runs from the same mark today. The presence of Sean Quinlan here for his only ride of the day is interesting considering the yard send their only other entry, Aengus, to Catterick. He is a short priced favourite to follow up his last win at Wetherby under the aforementioned Sean Quinlan. At the prices it may also be worth considering Heavenly Promise. He makes his Chasing/Handicap debut from a lowly mark and produced his best effort over hurdles on heavy ground. He has his stamina to prove but he is related to some useful staying Chasers and he could prove a better proposition over fences. He is the only entry for a yard who have a profitable 21% strike rate with their Chasers in handicaps in recent seasons and are 3 from 4 with their horses over fences here in the same period.

    3.20 - Catterick - Cactus Valley. 1 pt win. Available at 16/1.
Nomoreblackjack and Fields Of Glory come into this race on the back of career best efforts and have the potential to carry on improving. They may be difficult to beat but at a much bigger price a small win consideration on Cactus Valley may be worthwhile. He is not bred for fences but he ran a promising race on his Chase debut in a Novice event over this C/D last time out. He faced much higher rated rivals there and showed enough to suggest he could make his presence felt at this level. His mark of 106 isn't prohibitive and he represents the only entry of a yard in red hot form. There doesn't appear to be a lot of pace in this race and that could play to the strengths of an ex flat horse.
