A friend of mine was told over a month ago tha Potentiale was being targetted at a race at Epsom in July - unfortunately he didn't ask which meeting as there are a few - he runs in the 1st race there tonight - watch the markets.

Would he prefer a sounder surface? Lot of rain there today and Post says cheekpieces left off today too. Hermes worth a fiver in the claimer, tho the fav will also appreciate the cut

Very unlucky Swedish. I will be having a bet on the Botti 2yo in the 7.00 at Doncaster. Been told it is very good, and judging by the betting has the Ryan horse to beat. Ive had a right scud at this, bartolomeu it's called. Got it from a couple of independent people now, so there must be something about it.

I'm quite sweet on Reasons Unknown in the 8.10 at Gowran tonight.

This horse has knocked on the door a couple of times this season and while he's exposed and off top weight, it's a weak handicap which wouldn't take a lot to win and I'm hoping this track will suit better than recent tracks like Navan where the undulations didn't seem to suit this fella. Murtagh in the saddle always helps. Small bet at 5's.

Majestic Myles Chester 4.35, a Listed 7f. event, a distance he has yet to win over. However only beaten 3 1/2 in a Group 3 over this distance at Ascot.

Hasn't got a very low draw but that's not necessarily the end of the world, the sharper track will hopefully suit and the odds of reward (9/1) make a small each-way bet reasonably attractive.

Had a decent ew on Fahsta but nowt else that paid. Still roughly even. Our Jonathan in the 4.35 and Hotam in the 5.35 wil change that - one way or another!

Swithering as to whether Cheveton can run well in the ground in the 5.30 at Ascot

I'm struggling! Cape Of Good Hope in the last at Tipperary would get me out half alive.

Fastha ran a big race, Tout, really needs a change of luck, almost brought to a standstill when making his challenge last time at Windsor.

Lost on the day but sometimes getting out behind rather than way behind is as good as winning.

I backed a 42 winner on Betfair -didn't trade out and ended getting hammered on the day.If it wasn't for yesterday I would be having a quiet summer.

Had a fair bit on Hotam average 24/1, little unlucky in running and gets beaten 1/2 length.

Had a little go at Cape Blanco at 3/1.Gio Ponti looked dreadful on his last run,he won't like the heavy going and his trainer had a few odds on chances beaten lately.

Going was listed as good .. last furlong run in 11.77 seconds with the 10F at 2 mins 2 secs in a slowly run early part.

Like many of the very best ten-furlong horses, Powerscourt has that ability to quicken. He's a very tough and genuine horse and was a joy to train."—Aidan O'Brien
