Well done roddy well deserved after last time out!! Nice sp aswell
Nice one Roddy.
Yeah cracking value @ 10's. Strong form coming into the race.
Based on most relevent form she should be carrying 11:4.
I hope the ground stays gd-st or better and then we'll see....I love finding one i think is well-in, I rub my hands and licks my lips then pays my cash and takes my chance.

Yes it does Benny, same C/D down in class and apprentice allowance negates the penalty, seems a decent price now about 6/1-13/2, rather depends on wether the lad knows how long to hold it up for but can't see a logical reason that it can't follow up. Last time they had Pearl Noir to blaze the trail but i'm pretty sure Rise to Glory will do that job tonight.
Thanks for that Marble.................................. I've also doubled it with MR RED CLUBS in the 6.15 at Kempton
Very good shout marble, thats 2 places i've seen that written up today, well done.
Also think that Windy Miller has a very good EW chance in the 7.45, only had the 4 runs and last one was an eyecatcher over 7fs here in class 7, this race is very similar even though a class 6, made up a tremendous amount of ground final 2 furlongs to get 4th, has an 8lbs pull with the winner Actonetakeone(inc allowances) and extra 1f here should suit, by Sakhees Secret who has a fair few winners here. Looks to have the impressive winner Henry Grace to beat imo.
Thanks people! I wish they all won like that.
Been playing Snooker, only just watched the evening card, New leyf just about got up on the line but a nice price at 7/1.
Knew there is a good reason the trainer buys them back! Original post.
New Leyf.
Always find it interesting when a trainer claims back a horse he used to train especially when it's dropped to a much lower mark than when he trained it. A good example being Bennandoner who Mike Murphy lost out of a claimer for 6k when rated 84, bought it back a year later for 3k when rated 49! Quickly won 2 races with it.
New Leyf was trained by Jeremy Gask till Oct 11 when rated 85 has been around the houses since then and Gask claimed back for 5k last year when rated 73 (had been winless for all other trainers), ran 3rd 1st time back with Gask over C/D from 73 behind Spellmaker now 10lbs higher and Go Far now rated 100. Has run mainly dissapointing since but did show that he's capeable from around this mark when 3rd over C/D 3 outings ago off 69 ran 3rd to Front page News in a class 4. Dissapointed lto but has had a little break and this may be the time to catch him, had won twice over C/D for Gask early in his career and won from 84 over 7fs as well.
At a big price could be worth chancing EW imo.
Ran at Lingfield over 7fs in a hot claimer since and realistically had no chance although the winner didn't have a chance beforehand either! New Leyf has never run well at Lingfield. Think you've all said everything about his Kempton run, have backed at 12/1 tmr.
I've had a decent look at the 2:10 at Leicester. My first thoughts were the favourite was quite short and I'd try to find one to take him on with, but after a longer look it seems Until Winning can do the business.
A concern is what went wrong at Sandown on January 3rd when Until Winning was 100/30 favourite but well beaten.
However, the horse bounced back in a big way at Ludlow next time on his first attempt over the minimum trip of 2 miles over fences when he hosed up by 7 lengths.
His first introduction over fences was behind Rhapando and Cloud Creeper at this track Leicester running a good 3rd place.
So the fact he's ran well at Leicester before, dotted up at Ludlow last time, got form behind horses rated 119 and
125 in Rhapando and Cloud Creeper, do indicate a ten pound rise for the last win still make a mark of 114 look very workable.
Until Winning is a very worthy favourite and should take a lot of beating, (that's Irish for I think he'll win by half the track. )

3:40 Leicester
Although Cloud Creeper looks an exciting 125 chasing prospect as I have already said above, this doesn't necessarily make him a certianty tomorrow. Dare To Endeavour has to put three shocking runs behind it, but has beaten some very useful horses in his limited career, is 3/6 over fences and is 3/4 in class three races. Taking everything into consideration including the relative prices, if Dare To Endeavour did recapture his form, I think he'd have Cloud Creepers measure, and he's worth a bet.
If Until Winning and Dare To Endeavour both win I'll owe Tom George a pint.

Piggy bank time today at Fontwell.
Laurium 6/4
Formely Fist of Fury
Laurium 6/4
Chapel Hall 10/11
Win Double
Not great prices but both should win easily
Formely Fist of Fury
Although owned in a partnership by a friend of mine, I really think that this distance is not what CLOUD CREEPER wants, I think it will be a better horse when its put up to over 3 mile......... I have backed IN FAIRNESS who ran no sort of race in December at Sandown when fading badly in the latter part of the race.
The only other interest today is DE BLACKSMITH 3.50 Font which I have a small stakes E/W bet
