Convinced D'bai's last run was no more than a sighter, and expect him to reap the benefit in the Supreme Stakes today.

Unfortunately Red Giant spat the dummy after getting a reminder early on

That was disappointing. The reminder at halfway was ominous. He's probably not up to chasing a fast pace. Maybe he just had an off day but it's galling when the other ratings work out well:

    Horse MON
    157
    Notes RPR
    Red Giant 163 ? p 124
    Soupy Soups 160 e 156
    Amalfi Doug 158 p 151
    The Young Master 156 156o 148
    As You Like 152 p 149
    Imada 151 p {+?} 153
    Fortunes Hiding 151 p +? 150
    Boy's On Tour 151 ? t 149
    More Buck's ? 162
    Trongate ? [151oe] -

I let the jockey put me off Soupy Soups and assumed the Badger Ales would be the target hence RG didn't have much to beat. Sorry, Maruco.

I didn’t see the race, but there’s never any apology necessary Maurice.

Surprised you took on Breathtaking Look, Euro.

She seems to have won well. Maybe the heavy ground just stops other horses from showing their turn of foot.

I wonder where they'll run Breathtaking Look next.

Red Stripes 2.40 Has an excellent record at Southwell, making the frame on 16 of his 24 visits (incl 6 wins) at the venue.Showed good form in a recent run at Haydock, and Jimmy Quinn travels for the sole ride.
Solid ew at 18/1(4 places) with Hills.

Tracker horse out tomorrow, Chelmsford 7.50 - Nature Lover. I've taken 5/2 in case it ends up overtaking the Hamdan runner at the head of the market. I hate putting up short shots but I think this one will leave its debut run miles behind. Then again, a few of the others could also leave previous form miles behind.

Rhoscolyn3.00 Nc led all the way, and dotted up in a strongly run 7f Haydock novice, then disappointed in a much better race at York (raced around ouside , then eased when winner baulked him. RP analyst described him as 'a nursery type' after Haydock, but his gp2 Beresford Stakes entry paints a completely different picture. Expect him to run this modest field into the ground over the stiff 1m and have backed him accordingly.
11/4 in places, but don't see it lasting.

Spring Of Love won a decent Newmarket maiden on her debut last season, and her trainer said she'd be put away for a Guineas trial this season. Never made that gig, reappearing in a Haydock listed at the end of June. Clearly 2nd string, she clipped heels early and wasn't persevered with after. Obviously well thought of, she's dropped in trip today, and she's well drawn(CP take note) to be up with the likely strong pace and could prove a street ahead of her opposition.
Taken the 8/1 to find out.

Out to 7/2 across the board which might be ominous but I've bitten the bullet and gone in again this time with the BOG (which I don't think I got last night) just in case it defies the drift which can happen with some Godolphins. Hopeful now rather than confident.

Strange. Went out to 4/1 just after I posted the above but was shortened up late into 9/4 but capitulated early and was pulled up and dismounted. We'll see what comments emerge.

    Sickness insurance beckons.

Ascot 4.50 Gin Palace - Must have a good chance. Sticking it in a patent with Danzan (Haydock 3.20) and a third one I haven't picked yet.

I'm gonna chance Mia Mento in the 5.20 at Ascot. This horse has a tendency to leave the stalls slowly and then flash home over 6f and I reckon Ascot's stiffer finish will suit him. 5 places 14s
