    The Chester going is in the lap of the gods but, assuming it won't change much before the 5.30 Asdaa looks a decent ew prospect (12/1 - 4 places with Hills).
    Ran well from a poor draw to finish 4th at Newmarket (having used too much energy to get there). May well make all from his plum draw today.

    Dropped out; last most of race, finished well - draw your own conclusions.

    Difficult to win at Chester like that and most unlike the usual lead from the front Johnston tactics.

    Additional. Stewards Report;

    Joe Fanning reported that ASDAA (IRE), unplaced, stumbled leaving the stalls and he was therefore unable to get a prominent position as intended, adding that he also took a precautionary check on the run to the line as he was concerned about running onto the heels of GABRIAL THE SAINT (IRE), placed fourth, which was edging left on the approach to the bend shortly after the winning line.

    Zihaam 4.10B has won 2 races over this C&D recently by sitting out the back off a good pace, then picking up the pieces. Wasn't suited by steady early at Donny lto, where the leaders ran away from him.
    Looks a useful ew punt at b365's 16/1.

    Thanks,L.
    Nothing on Raceday Live to indicate rain, and a couple (averse to fast ground) taken out because of going.
    Took 22s with betfair sportsbook earlier.

    Backing Brentford Hope 4.55K. First time out last year I had him down as a serious Derby Contender with his speed rating. Injury curtailed until his York comeback this year where he travelled all over the field before lack of fitness told. I expect to see him make up into pattern class so he should take care of these. My only slight concern is he will be held up off the pace which is holding up today at Kempton hopefully the usual Spencer thing doesn't occur!

    I backed him on trust last night, but lost heart today when I saw him at 9/4. He would be more likely 4/9 if he was expected to confirm last year’s promise.
