Roaring Lion in the Dante. I think his price of 11/4 is underestimating this horse particularly with the competition he faces today compared to the last time and the RP trophy last year. Ran a great race in the 2000 from his draw, is bred for 10f and Gosden expects to see him at his best over this kind of trip. He's fit, the ground shouldn't be a problem and the track should hold no concerns. He's a solid favourite.

I think he's too short. Looks less than straightforward and is this ideal less than 2 weeks after the Guineas.
I'm chancing James Cook who was much better than the bare result at Epsom and should come on heaps for the run and I quite like Mildenburger as well.
Also gone for Turret Rocks who has optimum conditions today, which is rare in her career so far. Front two don't set that high a standard and 8s is too big

Indeed well done Cato. Apologies about Copper Knight it just didn't happen at all today with him. I will be back

I've got good cash on Isomer (4:05) and Denmead (5:35) I think they are both good chances. Only two wins will satisfy me after the earlier disappointment. Need my funds boosted lol.

One reasonably strong fancy today is Quench Dolly for me in Newbury's 2:35 on the television. This is a game handicapper. He's picked up about half a dozen races in career thus far. I don't think the handicapper knows what to do with him or.is near getting to him yet, in fact he's dropped him a few pound for a couple of below par efforts which suits fine. His win at Goodwood last season was excellent when putting away future winners Maakaasib, Intense Romance and Poets Society by some distance. The Racing Post rightly says his very best form is on soft going, as was Goodwood that day, but he's won on better going too, and like a few versatille horses I think there's every chance he may act on both types of ground. He is 12/1 or thereabouts. I would suggest were he from a more fashionable or bigger yard he'd be halve that price!

GL with that one Marble, I have winnings to play with so will have a little EW too
Cheers. I definitely don't understand how Poets Vanity is shorter in the betting than Quench Dolly. The latter beat the former 7 lengths at Goodwood and is 3 pound better off too. See what happens I guess!

Well, lets hope there's no stopping Tim Easterby's Computable tomorrow at Thirsk!
From my blog; 'horses to follow list'.
Thirsk 3:20
1. COMPUTABLE. Trained by Tim Easterby, he struck me as a horse who improved for being gelded, which he showed when a respectable third at Thirsk last time. He travelled powerfully that day, like a horse who would improve for the run, and if he cannot improve on that rating of 76 this season, I will pack the game in. He's entered at Thirsk on Saturday, where he seems to have his handicap mark unchanged.
Another tracker...
Doncaster 5:50
3. INGLEBY HOLLOW caught my eye when second to a mare called (4) PRETTY JEWEL at The Lincoln Meeting at Doncaster, on ground that was too soft for Ingleby Hollow. Pretty Jewel has franked the form and a mare to follow, (preferably with cut in the ground), while Ingleby Hollow has won subsequently and entered at Doncaster this Saturday. Ingleby Hollow would have every chance of winning again if the ground is on good side.
