I'm going to get pictures of flat jockey paste them on wall and throw darts......no make that knives at them. Starting with Harry Bentley and Rab Havlin who I rate just 1 notch above Noddy

I hope Harry Betley 6/1 gives Air Pilot a better ride than he did the fav in the first..........he will love the ground and even giving away weight should beat this lot

Red Saree 87.97 on the machine.......here we go again

2.55 Solatentif hasn’t won in the UK yet but he’s been running in better races than this and ran well for quite a long way last time out. Now 3lb lower and with Dickie up the 11/1 (12/1 with odds boost from Lads) seems worth chancing

4.30 Psychedelic Rock did me a favour last time but I’m not convinced he’ll stay and he’s a bit short so ready preference is for Bugsie Malone at 9/2

Having a each way bet on Empress Ali (Pontefract, 4:25). For the simple reason, I was looking through some form lines for The Cambridgeshire and this horse was one that had been in the mix in the right races. 16/1 with the nine runners (each way) will do for me.

Too true, golden rule #1 for me when I look to play is to cross out maidens before I do anything else.

When I was backing day to day racing regularly I found 2yo maidens were a great source of winners - claimers, sellers and low grade handicaps would be first to be struck off for me.

N/R. I am expecting Fannie By Gaslight to score in Haydocks 4:25 today for similar reasons. Good form in the right races, with the right horses. The certainty of the week.

I'd be disappointed if Benatar can't give the weight away tomorrow. 4/1 looks big as he was a class act last season and neither of those above him in the market are proven at the trip.

One of my faves from last year.
Well done getting 4/1. That’s gone now and I reckon he’ll be shorter than 3/1 by the off. I’d see Rocklander as a bigger danger than the front two but his jumping may not be good enough and he probably needs it softer

Rocklander is who I fear most too. I'm taking the opinion that last years novices were very, very good. I'm mildly surprised they're not considering exploiting 148 as a result of that as I think he could be a 160 horse in time.
