Not really sure how many on here are involved with a runner(s) this week but hope it goes well for you and the horses come home safe.

I see Paul's Bay Of Freedom is running tomorrow at Wexford 4.00. Good luck!

Thanks Swedish Chief. We may need the luck - at least it's soft ground for him this time. We've done everything we can physically; now we need to see if it's just a mental thing. If it is, this may be his last race http://www.cheltenhamdream.com/blog-...t-time-perhaps

Roddy hasn't posted in a good while. Anyone have any idea how he is?
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

I've not heard anything from him, and I couldn't find him at Cheltenham either. I'll send him a text or give him a buzz.

Commiserations to Perpetual and archie for the huge anticlimax with Kemboy, unseating at the first in the big one.

There'll be another day if there's any justice, which we all know there is not.

Thanks Art and yes it was a huge anti-climax, but the build up since Xmas has been amazing and just to be in the pre-parade and parade rings on Friday was an honour - touching distance of equine and non-equine stars.

As Archie said on the Gold Cup thread, Kemboy had his legs taken away by Percy and stood no chance. The positives are he had no race so will be fresh for Aintree or Punchestown and he's only young, so fingers crossed we'll see him running in top races for the next few years

    All very true.

The only downside for me was that the Gold Cup was on my mind the whole week and, to a certain extent, prevented a proper enjoyment of the rest of the show.

Cadmium is getting an entry in the Topham after finishing second in a G2 yesterday. In 14 months he has run 13 times over fences - 5 x win, 2 x second, 2 x third, 3 x fourth, 1 x fifth. A joy to be involved with him.

I can finally write something super productive now - Raisin ( Bonne Nuit) is having a racecourse gallop next Tuesday with the intention of running him somewhere a fortnight or so later...

Someone pass me the brandy, after five years of waiting, this is all becoming very real....

Archie - would that be the average number of owners in a typical SR syndicate?

I think that DG means number of Topham entries, AC.

Typically between 10 and 20 owners in each SHR horse. I think that there are 14 in Kemboy.

Oops. I thought it sounded a bit numerous. Thanks for clarifying!

Very sorry to report that my first SHR horse, Poly Rock, died at Cork yesterday. Only his third run in 4 years but the fact that Willie was prepared to persevere with him speaks volumes for the engine beneath the faulty suspension.
