The JP job was the wrong one for BJG in terms of his ability as a jockey IMO as he was never going to get horses to win when they had no right to like AP did. Maybe the right one in terms of swelling his bank balance though

BJG was going to retire but decided for whatever reason to do one more year. I don't think we'll see him on the JP plots in March.

Has to be Rubys last season now surely. Don't think we'll see anyone for some time get anywhere near his Cheltenham statistics, phonmeonal, even if half the horse were steering jobs.

Wonder if Willie will give Townend the big slot, or look at poaching someone else.

Can't see why he'd go for anyone else.

I'd say t will be shared out etween them all but PT will likely have dibs - Rachel blackmore will prob land a few nice mounts also
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Blast - I was really hoping he would keep going at least until my youngster hits the track

Given that he was supposed to be aiming to be back for Listowel, it was odd to see Ruby in Seoul helping to saddle Riven Light. However, as Paul has ridden a four-timer today, owners probably don't have too many concerns.

I'm sure they don't. I understand that Ruby will not be riding at Listowel - is that what you have heard?

I hadn't heard anything but I'm sure he'd have been riding work rather than spending 24 hours on long haul if he was going to be back any time soon.

He'll be managed better than the IRFU contracted players -wheel him out for the big rides

without getting into his riding abilities at the current time, he's not going to help himself stay healthy if he keeps falling off horses. not sure how much the guy can take.
