Heya all.
Wondering if anyone can help me out. Just got back early from a night out in Sheffield and with it being freshers week at uni i bumped into a girl from high school who i've not seen in 3 years yet when in school had a huge crush on. I spoke to her and her mates for a bit and only bumped into her because she grabbed when i was on the way to the dancefloor.
I've arranged to go out for a friendly drink with her tommorow somewhere in Sheffield (her halls aren't far from my house) and now i haven't got a clue what to do. I think she likes but then i think everyone likes me or hates me (whichever mood i'm in) and it's really confusing me i aint got a clue about this sort of stuff and if we do go out for a drink (i gota call her tommorow) then i won't know what to say.
HELP ME PLZ.

Regards
Martin :shy:

You've got loads of stuff to talk about, really: but do start off with asking her what she's been doing in the last three years, has she been out of the UK at all, been studying (what?), working (what?), and let her natter away. Tell her how great it is to meet up with her again, and that you've often thought of her and wondered what she was doing. (Even if you haven't, people do like to think they've made an impression&#33

She's sure to ask you what you've been doing, and you have loads to tell her, especially how you've met these fantastic people on this wonderful forum.... er, no, maybe not that bit. You've got your studies, your career hopes, etc.

What kind of music is she into? Is there a gig playing soon she might like to go to with you? Any student events that you might be thinking of going to, and could take her to? A new pub/cafe/club you want to try out, and could take her to? See a new film together? Hotwire a car and go joyriding for the night?

Just keep it light and friendly, don't over-anticipate too much, don't worry whether she likes you still - she didn't run away screaming, did she! - and just think to yourself: what the heck have I got to lose? Absolutely nuthin!

Have a cheerful evening, sweetheart. Just be yourself and you'll be fine.

I'm thinking of patenting this sort of stuff as Auntie K's Kut 'n' Keep Krisis Kards. Do you think there's a market out there?

"Auntie K's Kut 'n' Keep Krisis Kards" - yeah, I reckon it's got a ring to it!! Look out Dear Deirdre.......

Good luck Martin...just enjoy it, & be yourself! Music is always a good icebreaker, as Aunty K so rightly says. B)

Coupled with " I got you a vodka "

Seriously petal - if SHE grabbed YOU ( GRRRR <_< &#33- then she obviously wanted you to notice she was there - and she didnt run away screaming when you stopped to talk to her so I would say thats promising.....

Just be you - and like the others have said, dont expect too much - and a gentle kiss on the lips when you've taken her home and a " I've got to go - heres my number " ( then actually go!! ) will do you much much better ( presuming you want to sleep with her by about halfway through the night!! ) than carying on and jumping into bed with her........ ( should at least guarantee you one more date if not loads cos she will think " wow - what a gentleman hes turned into....... ) and be gagging for it next time you meet up..... ( well, I would anyhow....! )

Have fun - and like Kri says - I wouldnt tell her about all us loovely girlies on here..... and I've just bought a new hat ( in preparation for Cheltenham )
so it will have to be a winter wedding - cos its dark brown to go with my posh dark green coat....... and the summer is far to hot to wear it..... B)

Thanks for the advice all.
It's only a friendly catch up drink and i like her a lot, she's a kool gal but think she was just excited to see someone she knew with it being her first night out in Sheffield.
I called her earlier (like i said i would) and she said she couldn't meet up today due to having to register etc. for her course so she'll hopefully txt me tonight (she said she would) and hopefully we can take it from there.
I won't hold my breath though it normally goes pear-shaped.

Good luck, Martin.

I wouldn't be the right person to give you any advice.

Tell her you had to ask for advice for what to do on an internet chat forum, from people you never met, that'll sort your evening out for you..............
