A right gamble went astray on this one, in very dubious circumstances IMO. The horse just had no intention on lining up and the camera was on Christian Williams just as the race started and he was pulling the horse away as if he had entirely given up hope of racing and was content to be withdrawn. Maybe he launched into action in the millisecond before the camera went off him and the race started but he was standing well back from the others and would have been badly disadvantaged even if he did start. It didn't cost me anything, I was just watching out of boredom, but it was a disgraceful decision not to withdraw him and surely very expensive for some.
