On the lookout for 'hunch outsiders' I look for runners with a single tipster against their name but which have run pretty badly to date.

Although I support them with pennies they sometimes offer interesting trails to follow up, one such teaser is - Gingers star, 1:00 Sedgefield tomorrow. Why would this horse be transported all the way from Co. Kildare for a 2K selling handicap hurdle, whilst being the trainers sole engagement.

Of course, it might be at the owner's behest for very good and personal reasons, and maybe this selection process simply highlights such occurances.

Does anyone know background to Jarlath Fahey?

its well documented that irish horses struggle to get in races over there, so coming here is there only option. also, travelling from kildare to sedgefield isnt that expensive, i guess they would go dublin to hollyhead? and it would be to much of a price difference than travelling to an irish course.
