Returns tomorrow at Dundalk in a 10furlong handicap. Probably not the horse he was but none the less its always fascinating to see what the horse does.

Given his hurdling exploits, and even the form he was capable of in France, he looks on a very fair mark.

I thought that was a cracking effort last night. Connections must be delighted. I thought he knuckled down well off the bridle as well.

I really do think Harchibald has got a bad press. To see him battle on well last night only enforces my view that he barely gets two miles over hurdles and its more a case of lack of stamina rather than lack of bottle.

Should put him spot on for the Fighting Fifth.

Like many of the very best ten-furlong horses, Powerscourt has that ability to quicken. He's a very tough and genuine horse and was a joy to train."—Aidan O'Brien

Great to see him respond in such pleasing fashion to a couple of smacks as well.. should put him spot-on for the Fighting Fifth..

I can almost hear Tom Durkan Arazi style, 'and Harchibald runs right by him'!!

Gal, I wasn't slagging off Harchibald when I say I was pleasantly surprised he ran well last night. It's just that having been at Tipperary last season when he ran so abysmally on his seasonal debut I doubted we would ever see him back. I hope now his restored well-being will continue to apply when he returns to hurdling.
