    Thewayyouare

Thought this was really impressive today in France. A Kingmambo half brother to Peeping Fawn (surely one of the best bred colts on the planet?) still looks like he has alot to learn but really taken by the way he lengthened clear in the last furlong. Looks a future star in my book. The owner is better known for his association with jumpers...it will be interesting to see does he keep the animal if an offer from the Arabs or Coolmore came for it.

Thewayyouare takes it, by about three quarters a length from Criquette Head-Maarek's Hello Morning, both having pulled well clear of the rest.

Thought Thewayyouare ran very green, didn't seem to know what to do when he was produced through the gap but the penny dropped late on. Looks like he'll get further next year on that.

Beat our horse here the last day so was glad he won.In fairness he needed a challenge like that to learn from it,liked the way he fought back when Hello Morning(stunning looking horse) drew upsides.

Coolmore have bought his breeding rights, but he stays in Mulryan's ownership until retirement.

Owner Sean Mulryan's racing manager Herve Barjot confirmed the deal. “The colt will stand at Coolmore after his racing career which could be after he has completed his three-year-old or four-year-old season,” he said.
“Before the Criterium there were certain conditions that were fulfilled and everything became finalised at 4pm on Friday afternoon. Next year the colt will start over 2,000 metres (1m2f) and then we will see whether that is his best distance or maybe it will be a mile and a half.”

I wonder if Coolmore still own the dam Maryinsky.

Like many of the very best ten-furlong horses, Powerscourt has that ability to quicken. He's a very tough and genuine horse and was a joy to train."—Aidan O'Brien

The breeder, Barnett Enterprises, is described as a "Coolmore entity" so I'm guessing they must do. Can't find any reference to him going through the sales so not sure how Mulryan bagged him.

Galileo mentioned in another thread earlier this year that Maryinsky has a FuPeg yearling and a Kingmambo foal

Edit: the FuPeg is a filly, the Kingmambo a colt. Not sure who she went to this year.

Maryinsky was second to Gossamer in the Ascot fillies mile, who has also gone on to produce a Grp 1 winner in Ibn Khaldun.

I believe Coolmore do indeed still own the mare in partnership. She was covered by Danehill Dancer this year.
