5th July but Tatts prices already 20% up on this year.
He's got no runners because of the state of the ground so I doubt that he'd send anything serious for a gallop.
Your theory is accurate. Qualifying runs include the 24th.
I can't remember if they publish a list of entries without weights or just give the numbers entered in each race.
Entries close today. Weights calculated as at the 24th and published on the 27th.
The entries are this week but the weights are published on the 27th.
Today is the forfeit stage for the Gold Cup, Ryanair, Champion Hurdle and Stayers Hurdle.
It doesn't matter what it's designed for, it's altering the race conditions after entries have been made. Not unlike making the Gold Cup a 4 mile race at this point.
Are they going to apply the...
This is wrong and is purely because of 48 hour decs. It has nothing to do with equine welfare and is legally dubious because they have already collected a substantial amount of money in entry fees...
UK marks for Gordon's Cheltenham entries (Irish mark in brackets);
141 Ben Dundee (-)
148 Blow By Blow (143)
147 Cubomania (142)
135 Dallas Des Pictons (130)
139 Gun Digger (139)

Gordon has a few entered in handicaps on Saturday. Presumably checking what he can get in the 0-145 races in March.

Part one of Lydia Hislop's Road To Cheltenham was published on 24th November last year.
Lalor was visually impressive but, while 10/1 after the race was a fair price, I'd want to see the form franked by the beaten horses before getting too carried away.
Voix Du Reve, on the other...
This weekend last year produced 4 Festival winners - Presenting Percy, Shattered Love, Coo Star Sivola and Summerville Boy - although none of them actually won. No surprise really in that the best...
Closed for Irish entries yesterday. Weights published 8th November.
Ditto the Greatwood.
We're clearly not going to get the same value on Mullins/Elliott/Henderson Festival winners this season (odds on for 15!) so how about looking at this?
Backing every Mullins and Elliott horse in...
At least it's something that you can drink from the Cup (if you're desperate).
All these races should follow the naming convention, 'The Cheltenham Gold Cup (sponsored by xxxxxx)' rather than 'The...
