Pikar was sadly a fatality
Photos of him on Facebook up and fine.
Nothing reported as yet. Pikar didn’t look great either in the last.
Sadly one for the Daily Mail headlines
Yes although technically they’re trained by partner Josh Newman who also rode three of them to win down at Kilworthy yesterday. They had six over the weekend which wasn’t a bad haul.
On a more positive note, I spoke to Kaley Wollacott today because her horse won at the point to point, and mentioned Lalor. She’s so thrilled to have him back and the horse who won today was his...
Ose Partir sadly a fatality in the Boodles today in that pile up (leg fracture)
Highland Hunter - collapsed with a heart attack - such a sad day. Especially after leading the funeral procession last week. If you believe in that sort of thing, lets hope he's reunite with Keagan.
Possibly one of my all time favs. I was there when he won what was the Sun Alliance Novice at Cheltenham and backed him on looks in the paddock. Followed him every run after that and he was just the...
Been a particularly grim one. I hope that Chavez (?) at Leopardstown was OK...he fell heavily then looked dazed but I didn't see him get up properly and no update was given.
Absolute Notions went badly wrong at Musselburgh :(
I noticed earlier he was jumping a bit low in front so it’s a possibility. It was a nasty fall and he twisted on his neck but it was very quick and I imagine that he died within seconds (sorry for...
Confirmed sadly...big blow to the yard.
Hermes Allen does not look good there.
Well he did have a bad bout of ringworm which probably affected him and his subsequent efforts.
It’s such a shame that seemingly good performances take so much out of them these days. Is it down to changed training methods or a weaker version on the thoroughbred? Personally I think maybe a bit...
Really sad to watch.
Falbrav aged 26 in Japan.
Absolutely great little horse...hope he has an enjoyable retirement too!
I suppose he could have injured his pelvis when hitting the fence and whilst not overly apparent (action would have possibly been disguised as laboured in any case) which then got progressively worse...
Oh that’s sad.... I thought they all returned safe and sound...:(
Gesskille today in the X Country :(
And listening to Henry Brooke being interviewed after winning the next....absolutely heartbreaking :(
Iceo was simply hideous to see. I was looking down at my iPad and looked up at exactly the wrong moment.
Oh thats a huge shame :(
Just spoken to friend at the yard and they’re devastated.
Hope Battle Cry is really OK. That was nasty in the stalls and although he’s out and standing, they’ve clearly given him some sedation to keep him quiet but he still looks stiff behind.
