Milan has died, age 24
The KG is very close to being my favourite race, I'd love to have seen Allaho taking it on.
Maybe Allaho was never going to turn up at Kempton (but maybe he was), but I think the stable would be very foolish to resort to pretending a stable star was injured if it wasn’t in fact the case....
His last five runs yielded wins in the Saratoga Derby, Cox Plate, Prix Ganay and Prince of Wales Stakes. An achievement that deserved to be trumpeted more loudly.
Nice to see a big entry for it though , but I suppose the £85k first prize has something to do with that.
Aramon was lost last weekend on the Closutton gallops
Acappella Bourgeois is being retired. Eight wins and seven places from 28 runs, many of them in the best of company.
After her lacklustre run at Gowran Park on Friday our syndicate has decided to retire Getaway Gorgeous from racing. She won four races for us, one of them a Listed hurdle, and was second in seven...
What happened exactly to Some Neck? The form book says he "slipped up after last", which is on the course proper?
He was left tailed off by the mix-up when some of them took the wrong course, but...

Trudi, that's terrible news. I'm really sorry.
Enjoy your retirement, Yorkhill, as much as we enjoyed having you around.
Yes, I hope so
Aramon is out for the season, which is very unfortunate. Winning the Galway Hurdle of a mark of 155 had put him in the picture for the Champion Hurdle. Commiserations to those on here who are...
Unfortunately Insult did not recover from what I'm guessing might have been a heart attack.
No G-G, neither ATR nor Sporting Life have Bally Conn's Towcester win available. I've seen it enough times though to have it well printed in my memory.
Just watched the replay of Mrs Fawlty's Towcester win, G-G. It's a very similar performance to Bally Conn's bumper win there. The ground was barely raceable, especially down at the bottom of the...
What's her name, G-G? I might enjoy a cry myself. For Bally Conn's race there's the following message on the Sporting Life site, which has been there for at least six months:
Cannot Play Video...
The stiffest track in Britain, but great viewing and good facilities, it is a shame to see Towcester closing. I also have personal reason to remember the place with affection thanks to Bally Conn,...
Plus she's only a pick of a thing, she didn't do much growing since last year
Big losses both, sympathy to connections.
As Barry Geraghty says in that article, Jezki was "absolutely rapid over a hurdle". A very slick hurdler.
And it's nice to read in that article that Barry's comeback from injury is getting closer.
It's a real shame, but he's still a young horse, so fingers crossed he can make it back to the track.
Commiserations, the news is obviously not good. What happened?
