Really, really lovely story from the Pointing world yesterday. I was reporting at one of our new local courses in Wessex near Dulverton on the edge of Exmoor.
Anyway there was a Novice Riders race...
Well sorry I didn’t tip you the 100-1 shot! It’s had more trainers due to its (shall we say ever so slightly difficult) owner who now trains it. But George Hiscock the jockey is one of the nicest...
:) Why thank you....
Have to say my idolatry got bigger when I saw Will Biddick was on (presume Martin McIntyre stuck in the M5 crash) as he’s just such a great jockey amongst theses ranks. Don’t...
Also good in depth analysis here:

If you want any further views, go on Jumping for Fun forum which is the main Pointing forum.
OK I have finally managed to have a look through. I started last night just before I had a point to point zoom meeting on next year’s Fixture List.....it went on for THREE hours! (Just so you are...
I will have a look but my form guide is obviously based more around the Southern horses.
I know a few of you on here aren’t big fans of Luke Harvey but I have to say he’s a dream to interview! He was at my local Point to Point today with his lovely young horse, Spanish Jump who won...

Philip Hobbs trained Rolling Dylan out hunting this morning under daughter, Diana. This was the horses first time out and he was beautifully behaved having only run at Sandown last weekend. He...
Interesting. Thanks DG. Bar the ex Chris Barber horse, no West Country Horses there which is strange considering we have such a strong contingent here. I’ll have a look through my notes from last...

The wonderful Porlock Bay plus connections today at a delayed celebration lunch first at the yard and then the local pub. Although he’s not the biggest horse you can see how big the trophy is!...
Yes sadly it’s no more. Went there a few times when I lived in Newmarket. Not sure where the meetings are planning to move to yet.
Gats and Co won really nicely at Cothelstone when I was there and will be going Novice Chasing after this run.
Indeed I am. Am going to ring the owner tomorrow and see if he wants to do an interview that I can put up on the website.
Thanks DG.
Just getting my voice back after some extremely unladylike screaming at the telly box! The dogs fled in terror behind the sofa...
But I really can’t believe a plan came off so...
Thanks! Really pleased with that run especially on that awful ground. I also did a 1,2,3 any order. I took 33s last night for the Foxhunters and I am pretty happy. Hopefully he comes out of the race...
Hunter chase at Warwick yesterday went to the Tom Ellis (pro outfit) trained Latenightpass (now down to 16s for the renamed Cheltenham Foxhunters) at 40-1.
Tomorrow Nicholls goes pot hunting with...
That’s the sort of horse that SHOULD be winning this race. A proper Pointing outfit. And didn’t my Marcel Ridge have a proper spin round!
I would dearly love Marcle Ridge to win. Proper amateur outfit (rather than the professional yards), his trainer Sam Jukes rides them all and his owner/breeder is such a great pointing enthusiast....
 Only in the Emerald Isle!
All meetings were called off in the UK today as ridiculously unsafe to go ahead even if one meeting thought they knew more than the umpteen weather warnings and...
Whereas down South connections of Art Mauresque must have been disappointed with him getting turned over at long odds on. I imagine he will still have an Aintree Foxhunters entry but definitely...
Lovely to see Silsol bounce back to form with a 12 length romp in the Novice Riders race at Chipley Park today for Ella Ortewell trained now by Will Biddick who actually had a treble as a trainer and...
