Red Cadeaux retired after sustaining an injury in the Melbourne Cup, although at the moment the injury is not life threatening. Full details on racing post, I can't work out the link bit.

12 year old Beckermet put down as a result of injuries sustained in his 159th race. RIP.
Both Sir Graham Wade and Case Statement were put down after day 1 at Royal Ascot.
Will remember him this way - leading them home up that hill and with his ears pricked. Have a happy retirement old boy.
