:lol::lol:
Reckon he has come to accept it myself, PJ.
:ninja:
Bapaume was travelling like the winner for most of the way, but found practically zero when let down in the straight. There's a chance he was wanting for fitness, but he went from lobbing to all-out...
Backed Bapaume that day.........shaped like a non-stayer to me, even accounting for it being his first run.
Not convinced Tizzard has the sense to admit he is regressive over fences, and switch him into the Stayers.
There doesn’t seem any point in indulging such what-ifery, given the horse was lost and won’t race again.
It’s always daft to suggest ‘would have’ certainties, about horses who have fallen in a race (seen this before with your nonsense about Don Cossack in the 2015 KG) - espwcially when the fall happens...
It’s not disrepectful to Sam Spinner to say that L’Ami Serge just didn’t want to know.
The winner is a massively improved horse. He was one that went into my tracker at the start of the season,...
You do all your best picking when yer wankered.
I’ll expect several freebies if this hits in March, pal!
A painful one, TheBear, but worth the exploration.
The real pisser is that Jacob didn’t do anything wrong, and gave the horse the best-possible chance of winning - he is just a complete and utter...
See post #5 Viking, which says much the same as DO. French Champion is in late-May, and the horse could easily take in both races.
Hadn't realised that Aughex had also put up L'Ami Serge on the original post, for similar reasons to me. Fair shout.
Holds the Long Walk entry, Ivan. We’ll hopefully know a bit more (one way or the other) before Christmas.
Have a look at the ‘1’ next to his name, on his only journey at 3m. It’s more important in the context of a Stayers Hurdle.
Harchibald was a bona-fide mutt, TheBear.....with the emphasis on bone.
Already said that I dont believe L’Ami is the hound some make him out to be. He will be a different prospect over 3m.
I’ve backed L’Ami Serge at 16/1.
I don’t think there is a standout this season, and I don’t think the horses at the head of the market are solid, and when that’s the case, I usually look for a...
Good man, Roger - much appreciated.
Anyone* know when entries are made for the Long Walk at Ascot? Not sure if it's an early closer or not.
* I'm mainly looking at DG here!
Thing that worries me most about Harry is his age.
French Champion Hurdle wouldn't preclude a run in the Stayers for L'Ami Serge, as it's held in May.
