Reckon conditions will be testing, we've had a fair bit of snow which still needs to thaw.

I took 16/1 Long House Hall this evening.

There has to be a chance he won't run but if he does turn up I suspect he might be the type punters could latch on to.

I disagree Danny, but don't fancy having a roe about it.

No Go Conquer. I can see myself backing Kylemore Lough again here, although I thought O O Seven ran well fto.

Euro, just a heads-up. Kylemore is entered in the re-opened Peterborough at Taunton, though isn't jocked-up yet.

Fifty two years ago Flyingbolt carried 12st.6lb in the equivalent of the Caspian Caviar Gold Cup and won by 15 lengths. Just saying.

Same for Long House Hall DO though I see from earlier post you’ve already backed him for this

I'd like to believe that's just in case Cheltenham has problems...

Well Luke, it hasn't won yet, but I hope you got 10/1 on Clan Des Obeaux. That looks a value price, right-about now.

I've gone off Foxtail Hill. He's stagnant in the market at 16/1, looks to be the second string to Splash Of Ginge.
I've probably been barking up the wrong tree with Foxtail.

There's something that may be running on the 23rd that I fancy a lot more!

In light of this going to risk it and take 8's about Le prezien now in case this cuts up badly. I'd expect he'll run. Famous last words.

I wish someone who fancies this would explain to me why as I must be missing something to my eye he looks very harshly treated on what he has achieved so far. Portrait King finished in front of him in the Topham and he's a complete boat.

He looks a very interesting runner Des certainly well treated ( due to his absence ) only a couple of pounds higher than his summer Summer Plate win which taking into account what he was doing in the early stages of the race made him look like a horse with huge potential. The break isn't as much of a concern as most would think it as he's won when fresh but more significantly finished 2nd in a Coral Cup after a long break. That not only shows a bit of course form but also that he handles the hustle and bustle of big handicaps. My only slight concerns would be if the ground does come up testing whether they would a) run him on it as he's had problems b) whether he'd actually handle it. The only other slight concern would be lack of experience over fences and coming back after a break whether his jumping would hold up especially as he can be a bit keen. I suppose you never get a 16/1 shot without a couple of question marks around it and he is certainly one of the more interesting ones that comes from outside of the Bet Victor form.

Good stuff Des and I take it that's the sort of case you'd make for him or is there something else.

Nicky Henderson thinks a lot of him and said he expected big things from him this season...that's my only reason for fancying him

Oh fair play mate I never really put much faith in what trainers say especially Mr Henderson but saying that I wouldn't put too much faith in my own judgement either .
