    The Christmas Accumalator

I’m pretty sure that most of you are like me and around this time of the year, just before Christmas, I like to put together an antepost accum or two for the festive period. Over the past few years they’ve clicked and have worked out well.

    This year I went with the following;

    €100

    Mite Bite (King George 6/4)
    Buveur D’Air (Christmas Hurdle 4/7)
    Faugheen (Ryanair Hurdle 1/4)
Footpad (Racing Post Novice Chase 4/7)
    Monalee (Neville Hotels Chase 1/1)

Returns at just over 14/1 if they all go in.

Anyone else have something similar done?

I'm not a short price backer myself but I'd usually do something like a big e/w trixie with the Anchor Leg in the Welsh National probably. I haven't had a good look yet and they usually fall way short of the mark but I'll post up should I make an attempt this year. I'm actually abroad for Xmas this year and it grieves me to think I'll miss most the action but I wish you luck Kauto

Best of luck to you too Danny. Be interesting to post them here and track the progress (hopefully) as the action unfolds.

Have something similar in mind Kauto to pay for the Christmas expenses- one option is an accum -the other is an each way double with L’ami Serge in the Long Walk and something else.

I always do KA. I have some doubles and trebles already, but I'll also do some more on the day each day.

Willie gave me one of my best Christmas's ever last year.

I've given up on Harry and gone instead with L'ami Serge. Add in Footpad and Faugheen for a 6-fold +10K Christmas present ... this year or the next

Pretty much everything revolves around Might Bite. If he wins I'll be having one hell of a New Year. If he doesn't, I'll be regretting the 10s I took for the Gold Cup.

He’s in a crazy 9 fold accum I done this morning along with some of the usual suspects, L’Ami Serge ew and the Mullins hotpot that won the opener @ Tramore today.

Anyone know if Special Tiara is an intended runner in the Desert Orchid chase at Kempton? If he is at 2/1 he'said a must in any accum considering the other 5-6 horses have no intention of turning up.

In the Secret Santa in work today I got a gift of a €20 accumulator on

    Might Bite 6/4
    Chase The Spud 10/1
    Polidam 5/1
    Apples Jade 11/8

That will pay about 8K, but unfortunately I cannot share it with the gift giver because it would be a breach of secret Santa etiquette if I sought him(her) out. Unfortunate that.

And that small head knew that Impaire Et Passe would win the Champion Hurdle."
