Well at last Sheriff makes his debut tomorrow at Yarmouth. In the first division of the maiden Bell saddles Jawan who has been in the same gallops as Sheriff, House Edge and Demurer. He also did an impressive gallop on Saturday. From the jockey bookings you'd have to think that Jawan is expected to run a big race as Bell has put up Atzeni. By the Australian import Sepoy he is out of a once raced maiden mare who is from the family of Efisio. Worth considering I would think.

Sheriff, who is by Lawman out of a One Cool Cat mare from the Loder's Marling/Marwell line (so a better family than Jawan) is ridden by Steward, a Bell mainstay. Given that his heat appears the tougher one I'd think only an EW interest is worth considering at best.

However on what I've seen on gallop videos there is not much between these two colts. Jawan may be the more ready.

Any idea when the ‘season’ officially finished for the purposes of FSS markets? Getting slightly concerned that Society Rock might lose it!

McMunigal , owned by my acquaintance David Spratt a very decent winner today at Naas.
He has run about fourteen horses this season , selling a few to Hong Kong so hope this is the Classic horse he has waited for.

This No Winners flag is becoming a bit boring.

No Bell videos at the moment. Nice win for Flame's House Edge by 5 lengths at Musselburgh, but no price I'm afraid. Must give Bell some confidence that he'll find a race for these other 2yos that seem House Edge's equals. As you may have seen Jawan didn't enter the stalls but Sheriff ran a fair race.
