    The Paul Nicholls Thread

Did start one of these threads for Nicky Henderson, so although this starts with a link to a pre Festival media day might as well use it as an ongoing thread thereafter, bound to be things to discuss.

I wish it was October already
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

Slightly off topic but you might not have to wait that long Granger. Coneygree set to run in the Kerry Nash next month

    Not sure I agree.

On past evidence he'll have to give no more than 7lb or so to his nearest rival (maybe less) and he's clearly had his injury problems so as he apparently "couldn't be in better nick" why not try and pick up a 100k+ pot on the way to the Hennessy while he's able to.

Keep him in his box towards a "proper" winter campaign and anything could happen.

Last year's race was run on Heavy ground too, which would suit if it happened again this year.

You can still enjoy the build up to the Arc and Champions Day though...
All comers, all grounds, all beaten!

I'd settle for late August. These three weeks between Goodwood and York are the worst of the sporting year. Still no NFL, and mongs getting excited about the football season starting again.
