Henderson today talking about Brain Power’s chances in the Arkle. ‘He was the best of them over hurdles by quite a long way’

He has heard of Footpad and Petit Mouchoir presumably?

The 3rd option here at 7/1 looks a great bet to me.

all place 7/1 is a very good bet..couldn't see you getting that price backing them one by one
Formely Fist of Fury
But Apples Shakira and On The Blind Side are likely to be contesting pretty hot Triumphs and Ballymores.
and the "place" will inevitably require a first three finish whereas on the day you'll probably get 5 places. Meaning therefore there's a good chance On The Blind Side is running for one of two remaining places.
Without even getting to Might Bite.

I hope so Grass

as I was saying Shite bet that 7/1

Id expect OTBS to at least place in the ballymore and Apples to win the Triumph understanding it required a top 3 finish at the time of placing the bet. You may get 5 places on the day for some races but definitely not all and they certainly wouldn’t accumulate to 7/1.
Every one of those has a very realistic chance of winning. Factoring in that all 5 have course winning form which is very important come festival time and you have 4 favs & a second fav and allowing for the fact that 2 are long odds on 7/1 seems ok to me.

I don't think it's particularly bad value. I just don't think it's great value either.
But everybody has a different perception of what is value.

The place part of the EW acca with B365 (1/4 the odds, NRNB and BOG) comes out at 7.08/1. I know you can't back it place only, but sort of proves it's OK value and nothing more
As I was saying that 7/1 is ok Value
Actually it's hard to tell as prices in the place market fluctuate like crazy art times.
1.3 can become 1.45 and vice versa in seconds.
One draw back about backing them one at a time is when the first 2 win the temptation not to put the pot back on becomes hard to resist.
A lot of these bets have no cash out option so once your in your in.

It may not be the end of the world but take heed next season could be tough for Nicky Henderson. (No his wife hasn't locked the liquor cabinet and hidden the key)
Kempton is a meeting Nicky regards as a great meeting to sharpen up novices and other prior to Cheltenham. He reckons the sharp track is ideal to put an edge on them.
Last year he was winning the Dovecote for the 7th time and this year he pinned his hopes on Epsom Derby 5th Humphrey Bogart who proved to be slower than the African Queen (See movies)
Pym thought to be a possible Champion Bumper horse also got he a$$ felt further emphasizing this could be his worst crop in years.
Time will tell but I'd go steady with those Cheltenham bets on his novices this year

Apple's Shakira, Brain Power, Burbank, Days Of Heaven, Kilcrea Vale, Thomas Campbell, L'Ami Serge, Style De Garde, O O Seven, Fixe Le Kap, On The Blind Side, My Tent Or Yours and Gallahers Cross all set to work tomorrow at Kempton’s all weather track from 10.30am.

Am liking that Gallahers Cross is in the squad. I know Nicky has an awful champion bumper record, but he's one that may go off a big price and think there's every chance he hits the frame
