Thistlecrack out for the rest of the season with a stress fracture.

May have seen the last of Limini over obstacles too.

Hard to see Thistle reliving former glories now

Hope he makes the track again
Some people say he’s the best since Arkle and that’s certainly true when you look at what he’s done

10yo now. What would be the point of bring him back, when he is clearly so fragile, and it's highly unlikely he will reach anything like his previous heights?

I often wonder why owners don't take charge in these scenarios, and just retire the horse.

My first thought as well. What on earth Elliot was thinking with that one I'll never know.

    Maybe not Elliot.
Always a pity to see top horses get injured but it opens the door for others.

Spot Thedifference, a star performer in cross-country races at Cheltenham, has died at owner JP McManus's Martinstown Stud in County Limerick at the age of 25

Brightened up what would otherwise have been an average race. RIP old boy

Man From Mars, died whilst being operated on for colic on Sunday. One of the first winners for Schiaparelli. Real shame for the Williams yard.

Gutted to see Taquin lost today. Loved that horse.

    Irving also retired today.

Hadn't realised; I know they mentioned another fatality later on so I assumed Taquin was ok. Beautiful horse. Another old favourite gone...

Very sad news about T de S - a terrific horse and how I cheered on his Warwick comeback win - I know Jonjo thought he fell between two stools but after his Bet Victor win it was odd he went back hurdling .

Gutted to hear the news about Taquin De Seuil - was a favourite of mine, and always thought he had class.

Very sad to hear about Taquin De Seuil - beautiful horse.

    RIP TDS

Hope Irving has a long and happy retirement - both were horses that I followed and enjoyed seeing.
