    Pull the pin

Ver weak in finish shiirley Teasdale on pull the pin, finishing 4th but maybe have been a couple of lengths better than this fortm with decent jock the gelding running to normal tactics off infront and everything that finished with the pace finished alomng way behind bar pull the pin. He's 3/8 over c/d was off 61 today another pound drop and can even drop two grades,he looks in reasonable form with the first 3 in todays race all been running well, when getting an easy lead maybe worth a bet, although with this trainer and owners who manage to get horses to regress wouldn't go overboard but in this form no reason why he won't be winning a race a lot weaker than this...Was 2nd to mappin time and klynch last season over c/d,has fallen to mark of july 2013 when beating king bertie which I put on here..

    Speculative bid

Only 6 lifetime runs and after long lay off of 291 days the gelding hacking up off 82 probably one of the most impressibve winners seen all season on the aw he won this with the look of listed class horse and was backed up by the time of 1m23.84 very quick considering ease of win and after having given 6ls start.I can see him coming back to this track for future bigger prizes,he will go up 8 pound for this win which will underestimate his win as he could be anything on the aw and could be running in the loisted races here neasr the end of the season..

    Jersey cream

Nice start for new trainer jersey cream the filly bought off gary moore for just 4000,must be kicking himself as this trip looks her forte and making of her, sitting off a very decent pace winning time 1m59.64 pretty good for a filly just rated 49 there should be more races to be won with her in these low ghrade races and obviously faster the pace the better. She sluiced up in this race looked to have loads in hand with fioeld spreadeagled out behind, the times are very quick there at the m,oment and pretty confusing as I think the track is definitely varying now from meeting to meeting so using the times not as reliable as it was a few weeks back but still have to like this win and she only has 13 lifetime runs so totally unexposed..
Runs today after nearly four months off.

    Gold club

Gold club looked to be cantering over this foeld after 150 days off,the sire multiplex with a 12% strike rate on polytrack the gelding looks like one to follow with just the 10 lifetime runs todays race was hacking up with 2fs to go then completely stopped in run running on under hand's 'n' heels just making sure he didn't hit the frame..
A winner without a penalty only rated 62 he may turm out to be a 70+ horse on this surface and looks like one to follow, last season was 3rd at Beverley off 69 plenty of 70+ horsecbehind with the sire better on poly than turf he looks an interesting runner..
Thought this one was worth Kabooming again, 2/2 since posted, good spot Andy!

    Lesha

Lesha cantering in the springmile throughout and never put into the race,a strange ride by fergal lynch as could've easily been involved and just started riding out hand's n' heels with a furlong and a half to go with no chance of getting anywhere near.He could've been the second best horse in the race and although his mark of 90 doesn't suggest he's well handicapped he should be due to drop a few pounds after this run and back to a winning mark may even be aiming for races later in the season as opposed to summer...

    Samsonite

The maidens over the 2 days have looked very poor at Donny, very little to take away from them and on the clock desperately slow races compared to older horse handicaps, that being the case might be worth looking back further in fioelds and one that stood out from the two maidens run today was Samsonite. He comes from what will be unfashionable trainer on the turf so might be some nice value, finishing 6th today looking beat 3fs out having 9 runners infront of him to end up being nearest finish a real eyecatching run the time was slow but still quicker than previous maiuden winner hail the hero although both maidens a lot slower than earlier handicap. He looked second best horse in his maiden the way he finished, could be a nice little handicapper worth following after another run and from this stable there might be some nice prices around...

Surely this Tacticus is a serious bet at 7/2?

I think if it was at southwell I would be a different story but surface is surely an unknown I could be very wrong! I hope so.

Whether it wins or loses think its essentially guessing betting there even taking into account what looks a decent price, horrible surface!I've been looking at the good Friday prices for over a months and nothing stood out to me usually come to the conclusion of the market leaders which are zilch value.I'll have a look tomorrow but doubt there will be anything think there are a fair few runners that have shown nothing this season but have the better times at lingfield on last seasons form, but there's just nothing in the porioces might be better looking on the day for drifters.

It will be priced more competitively on Friday given it's a showcase meeting so you may indeed find a bet.

Blue aegean won't go off 14/1 pity it hadn't got a decent draw only looks a 7-8/1 shot but looks like it needs to lead, cards got poorer with n/rs..

Zaliman in dundalk at 9:05 horse ran well here in the middle of march after been given a wide draw and he has already received significant market support having shortened from 8s to 4s so far

Hopefully today means Tacticus will be a backable price back at Southwell next time. Clearly much better on Fibresand.

When I did the write up I said would be running abroad and with current rating that's probably all that's left, there maybe one more race at swell but today probably was last opportunity to run it avoiding the faster surfaces, very few hiorses go on that Chelmsford surface its a track to completely avoid...
