    Stewards cup
    Ruwaiyayan 25/1 365,victor,lads,corals,hills

    Joeys destiny 40/1 victor,ppower,lads,corals

Two runners that ran well in last years stewards cup ruwaiyan travelling far side in last years race didn't get the cleaest of runs and was one of the runners to be nearest finish,he's beens lightly disappointing since although was on the wrongside in the ayr gold cup drawn 1 finishing 6th and recent run in the Wokingham only 9th.It maybe that goodwood is his track with the run above and this season again has beaten zanetto by 2 1/2ls hacking up having also major jack behind as well, that form looks good with zanetto already two close up finishes to huntsmans close this season, the 25/1 seems about right on other track form but his goodwood form he looks to have a decent cchane of hitting the frame at least although he may just be an even slightly bigger price yet.
The other from last years race is joey's destiny,a progressive profile still relatively lightly raced he was 8th in last years race,he caught my eye at the time as I could see he was improving but didn't know if he was good enough to win last years race he was slightly hampered 3 times in last years race and got no run once more as well so did well to finish 8th he could well have been 2-3ls better than this run and battling out the places
.If you go back through his form some of it now looks extremely eyecatching from early last season splitting huntsmans close and discussiontofollow with robot boy in 4th at windsor all of these were improving at the time and the first two are now first and second favs to win this years race.He also went onto win at notts having tatislu behind by 2 1/2ls and giving 10 pound now rated 97 tatislu went off fav for Wokingham.Joeys destiny sits on a mark of 95 potentially still open to improvement he's run well against horses that are almost ten pounds higher than him and have been winning and competing in the best sprints over the last 12 months. The negatives are he didn't run well after the stewards although 7fs and heavy ground could easily have been excuses and athough he hasn't run yet the 40/1 would be value on last years run, there's also the possibility that he will be even bigger prices yet as well..

Joeys destiny 40/1 ppower stewards consolation 33/1 general..

Joeys destiny didn't get in at the weights so left in the stewarsds consolation,a race where I could pick easily 8/9 but at the massive prices even though long lay off as mentioned above this could still be the geldings best season, george baker got Belgian bill to run well after a break today as well so stable in form.He still looks one to follow at what will be big prices, wouldn't mind seing a bit of water put down as well as track extremely quick. On last years run with a bit of luck he would've been in or near the places, the obvious picks are the 3 from ruwaayans race my major, secretinthepark and zanetto as that strong form was on this c/d.Ruwaiyn now 14s from the 25s I put up to win the stewards tomorrow as wel, whatever joeys destiny does tomorrow i'll be following at these big prices..l

    60s on betfair..

    Swendab

Had a bit of a soft spot for swendab when I put him on here two seasons ago,he's had plenty of racing 67 races in total but as 5 year old showed improvement in that 2013 season to go from a 62 rated horse upto 87 winning 3 times and coming second three times.Todays race he'd fallen to that mark of 62 so is back on lowest lifetime mark again
and although this looked suspect form with waseem farris winning he never wins although he does have ability, the mark of 62 in this grade he now looks extremely well handicapped as when he hits form he usually maintains it as 2013.In 2011 when he hit form he won 3 on the bounce then in 2013 his form figures were 1/2/2/2/1/1 when hitting form he can actually drop 3 grades from todays race and on the fast ground I expect he'll be entered up everywhere over the next month and a half.Quite interesting that 7 of swendabs races have been won in the month of july and august and hopefully he will repeat that history, the slight ? against todays race was that it was a seniors sprint but with whitecrest running third and being in form for a while should hold up..
Set your watch by him, absolutely hacks up won to far really ran brilliant on ground he hated last time out no doubt out every week over the next month, shedful winning on to follows at all sorts of prices be interesting to see how much ability he still retains and if he can win again...

An unbelievable run from ginger jack 4 days ago at goodwood,he looks like he's improving at 8,this was his best ever run, drawn 18 chasing the pace out wide then entering the straight getting no run to be nearest finish running againsty 100+ horses. If he'd been drawn well and got a run he would've surely been placed at the very least he may have even won,it maybe he took to the c/d and he might just be better back at goodwood, but at 14/1 its worth seeing if that run has taken its toll the prices are massive on that run.Regardless of whether he shows tomorrow or not,he won't go the rest of the season without winning again, this was a massive eyecatching run and by far his best ever run off the mark of 90,i expect him to be heavily backed on this weeks run!!

    Dutch descent
    Frightened rabbit

An insignificant looking maiden but franked by the runner up maleficent queen hacking up tonight over the same track, this maiden had caught the eye last time out being 1.28 seconds quicker than the following handicap won by west brit winning off 68 on the same card but and was proven to be right.
Dutch descent that night conceding 18 pound to the then debutant actually got a rise of 3 pound for coming third which seems strange but now it maybe that the 4yr old could be well handicapped at least on this sort of ground and on this sort of track, currently on a mark of 70.The maiden even looks better when you see cooper back in 4th,cooper had been 3rd to udodoontu on previous run and that winner hacked up at York this week in 17 runner handicap off 79,mothers first was second in that maiden and contested a listed race today at York also, so there appears to be even more reasons to believe the form is solid.
Frightened rabbit was beaten 8 1/4ls in this race on debut staying on 5ls behind cooper, has an rpr of 53 there could still be improvement to come, the trainer lee smyth runs a few at Hamilton may even return here. There is also the probability of him popping up at swell out of hardspun 29% strike rate on fibresand with an roi of 85%,one of those runners that could be thrown in and forgotten and pop up at a swell meeting when least expected...
    Frightened rabbit 16/1 365/victor

Gets to finally come back to venue of debut run,in a handicap runs off 53 with jack garritty taking off another 3 has been running in some strange maidens with horses rated in high 60s and 70s so could've easily blown its mark and run over 6fs which was another strange entry then a run in down royal on gd/fm ground again risking mark against far higher rated horses the more you look at the debut run with first the first 4 the better it looks the race worked out extremely well.Even marital over 13 lengths behind frightened rabbit went to win off 55 on the aw recently, there's definitely a race in the colt off this mark and i'll still be keeoing my eye out for the switch to the fibresand if no show in turf handicaps..

He wins to the write up,different class when he hits form in this grade two in 5 days!!!!

    Air force blue
    Rockaway valley

Just when the 2yr olds have been showing nothing on the clock a decent race comes up,this 6f maiden only .72 slower than the older handicappers rated up to 105,this is the best marker set so far at least on decent ground and the winner and runner up look automatic 100 horses which has been hard top say about any maidens with confidence so far.The O'Brien horse had the draw and was with the pace throughout so might be better than winning margin suggests, although the second was drawn wide and dropped in and nothing really came off the pace so the second has done well and there should be some nice value floating around for runner up.I presume they will both entered up in group races and might be worth taking some prices for although I do remember anthem alexander ran the decent time at Tipperary around june so there's just 2 weeks left for newcomers to show their hands...

Phoenix stakes Rockway valley 10/1 boyles

Might be worth giving rockway valley another chance,as he looks the value in the race at double figures was easily beaten by painted cliffs last time out be raced keenly off what looked an average pace I don't think the race was run to suit. The following day the group 3 for 2yr olds at the curragh was over 1.3 seconds quicker than this group 2 so the form maynot be reliable. On debut was just touched off by air force blue,on sunday air force blue is priced at 5/2, rockway valley beat only mine by over 6ls in canter on second run, runner up to most beautiful in that group 3 following day, most beautiful priced at 8/1.Wouldn't say he looks huge value but worth a token bet on air force blue form on track he's recorded a decent time and virtually guaranteed paced. It maybe that he also needs another furlong, but there's no value in the race bar his double figure price...

A rare 2yr old winner from Prescott stable and as there has been very little of note on the aw then worth giving this one a mention, the time was respectable for debut run
still .50 quicker the the 62 rated 3yr old in following handicap duffel, was pretty green on debut but she did well to travel so sweetly after early decent pace. The impression she gave there's a fair bit more to come even if not on the turf she could be a nice aw horse and conservatively I'd hope she was an 85+ horse maybe better after this run she should at least be worth following on the aw and hopefully Prescott has got a half decent 2yr old she looks half decent..

A very weak race with a winner that was impossible to find and went totally unbacled from the dave evans stable, egan riding the short priced fav strangely this race for its grade horses upto 60 maybe ok,the evans filly having her 6th run had shown nothing previously bar a second in a seller on second run so stable totally unexpecting this run as she had rin exact same races before and just looked very slow. The interesting thing was the time she hacked up in this race with Philip pronce looking between his legs a furlong out and she still clocked a time only .23 slower than the older handicap won by great expectations rated 65 the filly carried 2 pound more.Another thing were the distances behind the fav egan was riding looked well in had recorded decent time at notts but obviously wanted further but the runners behind the winner were over 3ls and 2ls and 21/4ls back in those places obviously with the weight for age this looked a dramatic improvement in form whther she will ever repeat it again is guesswork and she will probably get an 8 pound rise for this win although the handicapper may think the form is so poor with the second rated 50 perhaps he may let her off lightly..
Think dave evans thopughts on the race will be interesting as on this run she's run like a 75 horse if she repeats this run she will win again I wouldn't like to take short prices with this stable but as the time was so standout she has to be worth giving a chance to repeat the form...

    Mr wizard

A respectable time by mr wizard only .47 slower than cape xenia winning the older handicap for fillies later on the card, both races were run at a decent pace, nick littmodens had a very poor season just the 3 winners so it maybe this one will be overpriced in future races.I'd expexct he will be entered in plenty of nurserys the second today had an rpr rating of 73 can't really see how the handicapper won't be lenient on this form the clock points to being a potential 90 with improvement, hopefully the handicapper will fall short by at least 10 pound of that to around the mid to high 70s as he has very little to go on.This should majke him value in what will be potentially weak handicaps from that mark..

    Point of woods

I did say that adding on races after june becomes a bit meaningless as so many horses start producing decent times that you can end up noting 20-30 in a short period, have already put more than I wanted to already as finding the value whith so many when they will probably meet each other, but just hoping the ones I'm adding the handicapper misses and underestimates.Point of woods came from the 2 draw and crossed over to win on standside,in doing so producing a decent time and even .16 quicker than the 3yr old handicap winner Olivia fallow on the same card rated 80,point of woods is only rated 78 so looks well handicapped ion this run could quite easily be a 90+ horse and be running in listed races hopefyully will be underestimated with mark and be running in nurserys, this was far beyond previous form so looks like he's a genuine fast ground horse and will take advantage of that over the next month.Think I'd be looking to find some prices on him that maybe floating around on the real speed tracks as he looks an absolute speedball,he could well be massively overpriced in some smaller listed races, even though this was a little maiden at thirsk I thought this was one of the most impressive winners I've seen visually with loads more to come...

Having not won since 2012 it would be speculative to think he could win again, but he has lots of decent form still and running off lifetime low mark with hector crpuch taking off another 7 pound he looks worth a token bet in what is a race full of mainly exposed horses. He ran in the shergar cup over 5fs last week 4th on ground to fast and trip too short and even on thart form would have place chances,on the 9th of may got stopped in run and was 3rd to speculative bid and Lincoln in heritage handicap having horses such as buckstay, zarwaan emell in behind.
The draw will be irrelevant with forecast rain they will split into two equal groups and that will leave 10 either side think clear spring will do the same as last year and go over to far side and lead so he shouldn't suffer any traffic problems with just the 10 or so runners standside and they do tend to completely spread across the track near finish as well, with the fcast rain it should turn into a bit of a test and it wouldn't surprise me if he ran well with less chance of getting crowded.I think he will either be tailed off or be involved in the finish all depending if he goes on track..
Spinatrix is the obvious pick she runs off same mark as when 2nd to outdo last year and her record here will crash her prices 11 runs and 4 wins and never been out of the first three if she runs to her best then she will take all the beating again, this season though she goes into the race with no recent decent form plus no conor Beasley, even if she runs to last years form you could virtually throw a blanket over the same runners as last year so it's no great betting race unless you know the mares at her peak.
If there were some well handicapped runners it would be a great race to bet in as those two groups guarantee you a clear run and would be a great race for ew betting with the 4 places the problem with this years race they all look so exposed and have the same form yiu could probably get 10 different winners..

A desperate race winner rated 49 and runner up rated 51 the runner up had never run on turf so you could excuse all previous form and the winner although harder to excuse previous form between them they still only had 12 runs so wouldn't be major surprise if they were far better than current marks. The winner sluiced up,ashley morgan knew he was going to win this even though only as mentioned the filly only rated 49,the ground may well have been the major factor as on slow side. There was a further 9ls back to the third which gives the form a bit of substabnce and although the previous race for horses rated upto 75 wasn't run at a great pace this very poor handicap was only .10 slower than that race.It will be interesting to see if these runs are repeated as they do look like horses that could run up sequences starting from rock bottom and the second was first run for new trainer.
A lot of these course winners at Yarmouth only seem to act on these sort of tracks so if not racing here I'd be looking at styraight 7f races, the wall horse looks like she will get a mile but 7fs looks her right trip. They may just win a few more between them
About time they got him on the right ground...
