Overall, having just looked through the last few renewals of The Kim Muir, including recent winners, I would love to see him run there. The weights at the festival are very compressed these days anyway, so a high weight is not a huge barrier to winning as may seem the case.

The Last few running's include winners such as Domesday Book, Spring Heeled, Causes of Causes and The Package.

Domesday Book and Spring Heeled were second season chasers aswell, rated 137 and 140.

If I could talk to Neil Mulholland I'd be urging him to enter Pilgrims Bay in The Kim Muir.
Fair play to William Hill who have priced Pilgrims Bay at 25's for the Kim Muir. Not sure if that price is nrnb but I will check in due course.

11/10 shots wouldn't appeal to everyone, but Ghaaseeda (14.40) looks remarkable value to me.
Not only did she dot up over c/d lto, she did it in a very good time for the grade (0.37s faster than the 0-85 h/cap on the same card).
The icing on the cake is the OH has left her on 67, whereas the horse she beat a comfy 5l has been raised to 64 for finishing 2nd subsequently.
    Fill yer boots time, methinks.

Great to see the £100k veterans final tomorrow - a cracking initiative in my view and think Gas Line Boy has a cracking chance back against the oldies

He seems better than ever, goes fine on the ground and thought he'd go up more than 6lb (even at his age) for the Grand Sefton win as was really badly hampered. I don't normally get too involved in these but will have a lump on EW 4 places

Same time you were posting Reet I brought the horse up and how it drifted on the place market. Should have been about 1.2 to be in the first 4 and was then shot out to 1.5 before the off and runs like a 100/1 shot...someone knew and you don't need to lay out too much at 1.2 and 1.3 to make a killing

A few on here mentioned Mysteree tomorrow, agree he has a big chance. Zeroshadesofgrey might prove good each way value in the 2:40.

Aside from the Welsh National I have a few interests.

In the Veterans race at Sandown I've sided with Theatrical Star at 20's and Houblon des obeaux at 11's

Then a couple of interests on the All weather

    20.15 Cliff Face 18/1
21.15 Tyrsal 18/1 and a saver on the Gay Cavilier.

Haven't got time or can't be arsed with write ups today but those might be worth a second look if your interested.

    Sandown
2.25 I put up Kalashnikov in the competition for this race but after another look this morning have sided with Mont des Avaloirs who looks the value at 5/1

Houblon could run a big race. I wanted to follow Perp with Gas Line Boy, but at double the price with Houblon its too tempting!

Anyone know why all the money is coming for Gassin Golf today. I fancied him the last day but he ran no race, but he's been really well backed. I originally fancied Hurricane Hollow but not sure what do in this race now.

Probably because he has the gear reapplied a lot lower in the handicap and has probably come on for the run if all 3 are true then I suppose he'd be in with a squeak.

A bad day financially topped off by my cliff horse Buywise without me having a penny on

Shotgun Paddy tomorrow at Plumpton. He's just so well handicapped now, I'm happy to lose money on him each and every time until he wins. They say form is temporary, class is permanent, and he has plenty of that. 11/1 will look very big if he comes back to best form.

I haven't seen him jump a fence properly since 2014.

What a cracking race with everyone's cliff horse Buywise getting up from a 14 year old Pete the Feet

Gas Line Boy never got in a rhythm, made two mistakes, so did well to make the frame

I wouldn't complain if they added a veterans race to the festival

Edit - I need to regulate my use of "cracking"
