Gassin Golf was a proper good handicapper a couple of years ago, the pinnacle was when placing in The Imperial Cup at Sandown behind Ebony Express and Rayvin Black. He's on a nice mark and runs in Ayr's 3:20. It's worth taking a chance Kerry Lee has him back to his best at these double digit odds.

    Busy day.

Got some nice AP value this week. I have Wholestone in the hurdle at Wetherby at 6s and 7.4 on the machine, also topped up at 11/2 yesterday. There was a lot to like about his debut run at Chepstow considering the trip was way on the short side. This seems to have been priced up on ratings which to me is bogus when u consider the selection was a novice last year. If you look back to Unowhatimeanharry's opening win at Newbury last year it was a nine runner field and 'harry was the 6th highest rated in the race. Lil Rockefeller is admirable but not one to shy away from taking on given his strike rate. That said he has drifted to 9/4 in a couple of places and I have him in a nice cover double with Coneygree.

In the Charlie Hall I took 12s about Definitly Red when prices were unveiled on Monday. He loves the track and goes well fresh. Coneygree I was hoping wouldn't show up as I don't fear Cue Card (age), BDM (prep?) or Blaklion (too boaty). I haven't topped up but did add a sneaky each way double yesterday with Elgin at Ascot.

No other bets in the UK and the Irish races I couldn't see an angle on with Our Duke and Disko looking very solid at the front of the market.

In America this evening I took 5s about World Approval a bit ago and he should win as Ribchester has had too hard/long a season. In the Fillies/Mares turf I have backed Senga at 14s ew. She's well drawn and will get faster ground than she's had in France most of the season. The other European fillies are either poorly drawn or don't have their conditions.

Absolouetly hammered 8/1 e/w and Bristol De Mai. Could be me being thick but Coneygree is way too short of a price? I think father time has caught up with Cue Card and I personally believe the horse should be retired. I rate BDM higher than Definitely Red. I must be missing something but 8/1 is too big a price for me.

I'd like to see him win for my Betfair Chase possie but he did get beat first time out last year.

Came second i believe? Couldn't tell you who too mind. I just think the grounds okay for him, will like the track, and there is nothing majorly strong in front of him. To be fair it's going to be a great race.

Seeyouatmidnight, in a match. I suppose Carlisle might not have suited him and it wasn't a graded race.

Something of a cliff horse for me a few times but he has to give Coneygree 6lbs and has tended to fall short against the top class horses. Knowing this horse though he'll hack up now i've deserted him.

One of the lads is related to the connections of Great Tango in the 3.30 Naas and claims it won't be beat FWIW

My worry is Pat Smullen who imo isn't half the jockey he used to be..so we can blame him if loses

Cork National (3.15) Une Lavendierre 18/1 e/way BOG (Sportsbook) has a massive turn around in the weights with A Sizing Network from their Novice Chase meeting. Is it enough and will he stay?? I've paid to find out.

Sorry this is a couple of days early, but will be pretty busy this coming week. Like Humidor in the Melbourne Cup and will be disappointed if he does not run a good race. Managed to get 9/1 a few days ago. Up early on Tuesday morning!

I see there's good money about for Stanghow in the next at Wolverhampton. He's a horse I've gone on and on and on about on this thread. No surprise if he pops up at a nice price in about ten minutes.
