Were this horse to keep shortening, from the current 12/1 mark..I think it should be backed win or each way.
    Both bets down. Never mind.

Just one of those days Marb, we all know the feeling. Onwards and upwards.

I have had one bet today in the 5.00 at Listowel, Minella For Value will reverse the form here with Sizing, anything above evens is free money imo.

    2.30 - Chepstow - Daily Trader. 1.5 pts win. Available at 15/2.
Imperial Link could be a force returned to slower ground, especially if she gets loose on the lead, and Barista goes well here but has yet to win over a mile. A chance is taken on Daily Trader who progressed over his first five starts on the A/W for his current Trainer before taking a backward step on his last two outings, his first on turf. They came over 10/12 furlongs and, although he won on the A/W over the former trip at Newcastle, it came in a race in which the pace wasn't true. Asked to race at a sound gallop over the same trip on turf at Nottingham he was well beaten. On the back of that it was surprising to see him upped to 12 furlongs for his last race on this track and he failed to pick up after travelling well. He may not be as good on turf but it could be a bit early to be making firm assumptions. He has two siblings who handled soft ground so it may be worth giving him a chance now he drops back to a mile. Fran Berry has been booked for four of the yard's entries here today and he has a win and four seconds from eleven rides for the Trainer.

3.40 - Wetherby - Lopita De Vega. 2 pts win. Available at 11/2.
Lopita De Vega didn't beat a horse home on his reappearance at Beverley last month but there was much more encouragement on his first start beyond an extended ten furlongs at Doncaster last time out. She was beaten three and a half lengths into fourth of the nine runners but the winner has since gone close and the fifth was subsequently successful on his next start. Lopita De Vega drops back to ten furlongs today and his record over the trip in soft ground reads 221. Those efforts, two at Haydock and one at Salisbury, were gained off marks from 62-64 and he runs from the higher mark here. Along with his latest effort over 12 furlongs they also represent the four best performances of his career to date. The yard send just the one to the races today and they have been successful with one of three previous entries at this track.

    4.00 - Chepstow - Distant High. 2 pts win. Available at 13/2.

    5.30 - Chepstow - Bohemian Rhapsody. 1.25 pts e/w. Available at 11/1.

I think this one got very harshly handicapped from winning two small field races in a row in 2015 and it has been a bit of a struggle since then.

Tomorrow sees a step back up to 10f, a trip the horse ran ok over at Newcastle the final run of last season. Has had a pipe opener and the mark looks like it's getting down to something like worth exploiting. Even without the early non we should hopefully get 3 places and hopefully an each squeak with it.
Unsighted last week but goes in today and the trainer happens to have another winner on another card.

    Hmmm.

My nap of the day is in the 8.35 Ripon. I have taken 3.00 on Betfair about this one, Pumblechook. A maximum bet now stepped up in trip.

Backed Dakota City 1550 Wolves. 6lb lower than course and distance win and dropped to claiming Co having not been running too badly, no surprise to see some money about. Rfc with favourite.

Also on Caranageo, Bicolour (drifted but no surprise to see drop in distance given breeding and showed a turn of foot on debut before fading.)

    Honeysuckl Lil also

    7.00 SANDOWN

Dancing Breeze comfortably beat a subsequent listed winner on her debut, with the rest of the field nowhwere. Disappointed when fav at York, but her stable attributed that to the soft ground. Going looks better today & should have too much speed for the Stoute horse on both form and pedigree (King Edward V11 entry).
    Current 13/2 will do nicely.

Berkshire Boy has an e/w squeak in that I think.

    3.30 - Ripon:
Kharbetation. 3 pts win. Available at 100/30.
Two For Two. 1 pt e/w. avaialble at 10/1.
Backing a favourite who has only had the one start 313 days ago wouldn't normally appeal but Kharbetation could be worth making an exception for. He was very impressive when winning as he liked on his debut over a mile at Thirsk last July for Roger Varian and there's no reason to think he will not be fit enough to build on that for his current Trainer. They were a mixed bunch he beat but the second has since proved himself a horse rated in the low to mid 80's. Kharbetation makes his handicap debut from a mark of 93 and an entry in the John Smith's Cup at York next month suggests he could be better than that. He wouldn't have got into the last three renewals of that race from his current mark so he needs a raise in the weights and this race looks a suitable opportunity for him to do so. He has to prove his effectiveness on ground with cut but his Dam was a winning in testing conditions and she has produced two siblings who did likewise. Two For Two wasn't seen to best effect over a trip too far at York last time out but he is four pounds better off for a length and a half he was beaten by Gurkha Friend over C/D in April and bettered that when going down by half a length in the Thirsk Hunt Cup last month. He runs from just three pounds higher today and is still well weighted on past winning form. He is partnered by a seven pound claimer who has done well for the yard this year. (3 wins and four seconds from 21 rides).

    3.40 - Haydock - Signore Piccolo. 2 pts win. Available at 9/2.

She then did precious little in maiden hurdles, during the winter in Ireland, but its possible she'll bounce back now in this sphere. Support in the betting market would be encouraging. In any event, she's a good each way chance, on last seasons flat form in England.
Out again tomorrow, in Curragh's 4:45. I still believe she's well handicapped, so might support her e/w.

Taking a chance on Mick Channon's Moonraker, in the 3:05 at Newmarket.

    Good luck tomorrow!

Good luck Marble. There should be no qualms on the mark front with the apprentice taking another 7 off. The ground should be right too.

Paris Rooftops (2.00 Goodwood) - EW early 4/1
Very green on debut but kept on steadily. Expected to appreciate ground conditions and has been working very well at home on the Limekilns. Galloped last week with a 3yo the yard like a lot called Tangled Thread (New Approach x Time Saved) and she was comfortably going better on that occasion. Jamie likes her a lot and sat on her on Tuesday morning when breezing 7f on the Al Bahathri with Aljezeera and she's definitely learned enough to be a leading player this time.

Kitty Boo who runs at Nottingham is nice and she will come on for the run, but has been keeping company with Dabara at home so shouldn't be discounted easily.

I have spent the last 20 minutes asking friends to back Time Test in the 1037 at Belmont with Paddy Power at 5/2-I think it's an even money shot but will lay off for a free bet at anything under 6/4.
