I listened to the commentary from Longchamp on the mobile and I've just got back and seen the video - both times I had mixed emotions, disappointment at being caught but tremendous pleasure at such a good run. For once I was on each-way! If we get our ground we'll have some great moments this year.

On that run, you should well do, he ran a blinder. I don't agree with whoever it was who said he was idling in front; the weight pegged him down & if it wasn't for Ballyvaddy coming like a bloody rocket off a featherweight he would have won nicely enough. He looked in fantastic condition too, all credit to the yard.

If you didn't see it buried in an older thread Brian this is what I posted

If you haven't seen the BBC coverage Ian, Brian the post race analysis by Stormin Norman included a jump over on the far side by LN where he took off from well outside the wings with Stormin saying that's what a class horse will do for you.

Yes, thanks, I read your posting and I saw that comment on my recording.

Watched that and have to say was really impressed with his jumping---looked a winner till that weightless vaddy came from nowhere---hopefully there will still be some good ground still around in 3-4 weeks.

Super run and a very strange race! Well done Brian and co. Had to laugh at Scud stating the winner got a perfectly timed ride......they jockey was rowing a way miles out! He certainly didn't intend on leaving it so late as Scud was suggesting.....plonker!

Well done to all involved with LN! It's always great hearing about the forum horses and how they are getting on.

On that note, any news on One Alone and her next run?

She's off until December at least - plans very much up in the air right now.
